YouTube Scriptwriter and Recording Outline Writer
Research provided

I’m Shane, the creator behind Repzilla. I’m looking for a writer to turn my research into engaging recording scripts and outlines for long-form commentary and documentary videos.

I supply labeled clips, screenshots, links, research notes, and the intended angle. You organize that material into a story I can follow naturally while recording, develop the reasoning, and write the connections between sections.

WHAT YOU WILL CREATE:

  • A complete recording document with short scripted introductions, explanations, and transitions where useful.
  • Original research labels and clickable links at the point of use, with relevant timestamps and playback or cutoff instructions.
  • Concise commentary prompts such as “go over” or “read & react,” with more developed points when the reasoning needs explanation.
  • Occasional editor notes for visuals, cuts, and B-roll, plus a short list of unresolved questions.

Preserve the original research labels exactly. You may arrange sources in any order that serves the story, and the same label must be reused when returning to the same source. I use those labels to search my research and find what to open next.

The writing should fit each moment. Develop complex explanations and leave room for natural reactions. Handle supplied evidence accurately, preserve relevant context and responses, and flag unsupported conclusions or missing material. Additional investigation is scoped separately.

Videos may run around 60 minutes or longer when the material supports it. Estimate speaking and clip playback separately; avoid padding the story to reach a runtime. Maine coordinates assignments and feedback, and I provide editorial approval.

HOW TO APPLY:

Send two relevant scripts or recording outlines, preferably with the finished videos, and explain which parts you created.

Include your availability, expected turnaround, and quote after reviewing a sample research packet.

Shortlisted candidates will receive a format example and complete a paid test for a section estimated at 5–8 minutes of finished video.

We agree on scope, fee, deadline, and any included revision in advance.

Completed tests are paid regardless of selection. Be prepared to explain your story order and show how a claim connects to its source.
