Private Online Homeschool Teacher – Long-Term Position

Private Online Homeschool Teacher – Long-Term Position

We are a U.S.-based family looking for a professional, caring, and energetic teacher from the Philippines to work with our daughter(s) as part of our homeschool program.

This is not a typical virtual assistant position. We are looking for someone with a genuine background in education who enjoys teaching children and can become a consistent part of their education long-term.

Responsibilities

• Provide live online instruction through video calls
• Teach core elementary subjects, including:
• Reading and language arts
• Writing and grammar
• Mathematics
• Science
• Social studies
• Help implement and organize our homeschool curriculum
• Explain concepts when a child is struggling rather than simply giving answers
• Review assignments and provide feedback
• Track academic progress
• Help identify areas where additional practice is needed
• Create occasional activities, projects, quizzes, and supplemental lessons
• Encourage curiosity, confidence, and independent learning
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress

Qualifications

We strongly prefer someone who:

• Has a Bachelor's degree in Education or a closely related field
• Is a licensed/professional teacher in the Philippines
• Has experience teaching elementary-age children
• Speaks excellent English
• Is comfortable teaching American students and using a U.S.-based curriculum
• Has reliable high-speed internet, a computer, webcam, and quiet teaching environment
• Is patient, warm, dependable, and enthusiastic
• Can make lessons engaging rather than simply reading from a textbook

Experience with homeschooling, online teaching, special education, gifted education, or U.S. curriculum is a plus.

Schedule

This will be a consistent weekday position aligned with U.S. Eastern Time.

We are open to discussing the exact daily schedule with the right teacher.

Compensation

Competitive salary based on education, teaching credentials, experience, and agreed-upon hours.

This is intended to be a stable, long-term position rather than temporary freelance work.

To Apply

Please send:

1. A short introduction about yourself.
2. Your degree and teaching credentials.
3. The ages/grade levels you have taught.
4. Your years of teaching experience.
5. Your experience with online teaching.
