About the Role

ABOUT US
We are a boutique Australian law firm based in Sydney, with offices in Beecroft and the Blue Mountains. We help people with wills and estates, property and conveyancing, and business law.
We are looking for someone to take ownership of the technical side of our marketing — the website, the email systems, and the automations behind them. This is a long-term part-time role, commencing with more hours on a backlog project. If it works well, hours and scope could grow.

WHAT THE FIRST 90 DAYS LOOK LIKE
We have just opened a second office and we have a clear backlog of work ready for you — a booking system to check, location pages to build out, technical SEO to fix, and a content pipeline to get running. You will not be sitting waiting for tasks.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Website (WordPress)
1. Practical improvements to our existing WordPress site: such as clearer call-to-action buttons, additional book-an-appointment buttons, possibly more modern page layouts
2. Publish blog articles to our blog grid, formatted properly with images and internal links for SEO. Develop further so blogs can be sorted by category.
3. Enhance the location pages for our two offices and the suburbs we service
4. Check the set up of our appointment booking using Microsoft Bookings (we are on Microsoft 365) — multiple staff, two office locations, synced to Outlook calendars. Add a booking button to the site header and a sticky call/book bar on mobile
5. Build proper Contact, Our Team and individual solicitor pages (our navigation currently uses homepage anchors)
6. Publishing lead magnets: such as a downloadable guide in return for email addresses.
7. On-page SEO: titles, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text, internal linking, schema where relevant
8. Add structured data (schema) to the site: Legal Service for both office locations, Person for each solicitor, FAQ Page on service pages, and Aggregate Rating for our Google reviews
9. Audit our Google Tag Manager and Analytics setup — we currently have two containers firing and suspect we are double-counting
10. Build and maintain Google Business Profiles for both offices, including posts, photos and Q&A
11. Fix legacy issues as you find them: internal links using http instead of https, mixed-content images, outdated footer content, duplicated page sections
12. Keep plugins, backups and page speed in order
13. General maintenance. You audit. We do not want to be the ones who discover a broken contact link six months from now. We expect you to check things, find problems, and raise them

Email and automation
1. Set up automated email nurture sequences for new leads in MailChimp. You don’t necessarily need to write the copy – we can arrange for someone else to do that if it isn’t your skillset.
2. Build forms and landing pages for lead magnets, and connect them to the right list and sequence
3. Set up and maintain tracking so we can see what is actually working

Other
1. Connect our Instagram account to our Facebook page so content posts to both
2. Upload webinar recordings to our YouTube channel with titles, descriptions and thumbnails
3. General "make this work properly" tasks as they come up
4. Might possibly assist with Google ads in time, but this is not priority just now

OUR SETUP

  • WordPress, built with Themify, hosted on Siteground
  • SEO plugin: YOAST. Forms: Themify
  • Microsoft 365 for email and calendars. MailChimp for marketing email . Canva for graphics
  • Tell us honestly how comfortable you are with our page builder. This is critical. We would rather know upfront than find out in week three

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Demonstrated hands-on WordPress experience — you can edit layouts, fix things that break, and make a page look good without a developer
  • Practical on-page SEO knowledge
  • Experience building email automations in MailChimp, or a very close equivalent you can show us
  • Good written English. You will not be writing our marketing copy, but you will be writing to us every day
  • You tell us when something is a bad idea, rather than just doing it, and make suggestions as to what we might need
  • Reliable. We would rather have someone steady for three years than someone brilliant for three months
  • You will have access to our website, email systems and marketing tools. You will not have access to client files or matters, but you will sign a confidentiality agreement before we start. We are a law firm and we take this seriously
  • Nice to have: Google Analytics/Search Console, Canva, basic HTML/CSS, experience with professional services or legal clients.

HOURS

  • Phase 1: approximately 80–100 hours over the first 8 weeks (around 12–15 hours per week) to clear a defined backlog.
  • Phase 2: ongoing maintenance and publishing at around 10 hours per week.
  • Some overlap with Sydney business hours preferred
  • You must remain contactable, and in regular contact
  • ₱425–600/hr, paid in AUD

HOW TO APPLY
Applications that ignore these steps will not be read.
1. Put "WORDPRESS - BEECROFT" in your subject line.
2. Send us your CV so we can learn more about you and your skills and experience
3. Send us links to two WordPress sites you have worked on, and tell us in one or two sentences what you specifically did on each.
4. Go to ---------- and spend ten minutes on it. Tell us the three things you would fix first and why. Be specific and be blunt — we are not looking for compliments.
5. Tell us what email platforms you have built automations in.
6. Tell us your available hours in Sydney & Philippine time.
