About the Role
We need someone to manage our channels day to day: leading editors, keeping uploads on schedule and quality high, designing thumbnails, and finding new niches and video ideas as we grow.
What you'll do
- Daily channel management: Own the upload schedule across all channels, coordinate editors and designers, and make sure every video is reviewed and published on time
- Editor management: Review videos before upload, give editors specific feedback with timestamps, and keep quality consistent
Thumbnails: Design thumbnails for every upload and A/B test variations using YouTube's Test & Compare feature
- Strategy: Plan content calendars, and improve titles and hooks across all channels
- Niche and idea research: Find viral, profitable niches for our new channels, validate them with data (outlier videos, small channels growing fast, RPM potential), and suggest video ideas
- Analytics: Review YouTube Studio weekly (CTR, average view duration, retention) and turn the data into clear action steps
- Editing: Polish or fix edits when needed, and create example edits for new editors
Hiring: Help test and onboard new editors and animators
What we're looking for
- At least 1–2 years managing or growing YouTube channels, with proof (channel links and your results)
Experience managing editors or a content team
- Strong grasp of retention, CTR, packaging, and the YouTube algorithm
- Strong thumbnail design skills in Photoshop, Canva, or similar, with a portfolio of high-CTR thumbnails
- Solid editing skills in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut
- Skilled at outlier research, using tools like vidIQ or TubeBuddy
- Knowledge of monetization and copyright rules (reused content, fair use)
- Good written English, organized, and reliable
- Bonus: experience launching new channels from zero, faceless or documentary channels, and AI tools
How to apply
Send:
- Links to YouTube channels you've managed or grown, and what you did for each
- 5 thumbnails you've designed (include CTR if you have it)
- 1–2 editing samples
- One result you're proud of (views, subscribers, CTR or retention improvement)
- Start your application with the words "Retention First" so we know you read the full post
Shortlisted candidates will complete a short paid test task.
