About the Role

We’re a London-based creative and social media studio working with premium fashion, beauty, wellness and lifestyle brands, alongside younger consumer and Gen Z-focused businesses.

We’re looking for a Social Media Assistant to help us manage the day-to-day presence of multiple client accounts.

The biggest part of this role will be community engagement and publishing - keeping accounts active, visible and socially relevant through thoughtful comments, Story interaction, posting and day-to-day account management.

You’ll be working across brands with very different personalities, so being able to recognise and adapt to different tones of voice is essential. A comment that works for a playful Gen Z brand will not work for a premium skincare or luxury fashion client.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely understands social media culture rather than someone who simply knows how to schedule posts.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Manage day-to-day community engagement across Instagram and other relevant platforms
  • Proactively engage with relevant accounts, creators, customers and communities through thoughtful, brand-appropriate comments
  • Maintain visibility through Instagram Stories, including viewing, reacting and engaging where relevant
  • Monitor comments, tags, mentions and DMs, responding where appropriate and flagging anything that needs attention from the wider team
  • Schedule and publish approved content across multiple client accounts
  • Keep content calendars accurate and ensure everything is posted correctly and on time
  • Write and adapt short-form social copy across Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn within established brand tones
  • Stay socially aware of trends, conversations, memes, platform language and shifts in online culture
  • Flag relevant trends and opportunities without forcing them onto brands where they don’t belong
  • Create simple Instagram Story assets and social graphics using existing Canva templates
  • Make simple edits to short-form video content, including trimming, subtitles and formatting
  • Support monthly reporting and flag noticeable changes in account performance
  • Keep client assets, calendars and internal documentation organised

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 1+ year of experience in social media, community management or a similar role
  • Very strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok culture
  • Strong written English
  • Confidence adapting your writing and commenting style between completely different brands
  • Good judgment around tone - knowing when a funny or casual comment works and when a brand should stay more considered and refined
  • Comfortable proactively commenting and interacting rather than waiting for engagement to come to the account
  • Basic Canva skills
  • Basic short-form video editing skills
  • Strong attention to detail - especially when switching between different client accounts
  • Highly organised and comfortable following established processes

YOU'LL PROBABLY BE A GOOD FIT IF...

  • You notice when a brand’s comment section feels forced.
  • You understand that “social media engagement” doesn’t mean leaving generic comments like Love this! under 50 posts.
  • You know the difference between how a Gen Z wellness brand might speak online and how a premium fashion or skincare brand should behave.
  • You follow trends, creators and online conversations naturally, but you also know that not every trend belongs on every account.
  • And you’re comfortable learning the personality of each brand well enough that your engagement feels like it genuinely came from them.

WORKING SETUP

This is a remote role with a flexible schedule, but we require daily overlap between 10AM-3PM GMT for team communication, approvals and collaboration. You’ll work closely with our small team and follow established strategies, brand guidelines and engagement directions for each client.

HOW TO APPLY

Please send:

  • A short cover letter explaining why you think you’d be a good fit
  • Your CV
  • A portfolio or examples of social media accounts/content you’ve worked on
  • Links to any Instagram or TikTok accounts you have previously managed or supported
