READ BEFORE APPLYING

Start your application with “I KNOW TRANSPORTATION INSURANCE.”

Direct U.S. trucking AND Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) insurance experience is required. General insurance, personal lines, or data-entry experience alone will not qualify you.

About the Role

Risk Assist Plus is a U.S. commercial insurance agency specializing in trucking and NEMT.

We need the CEO’s operational right hand to manage daily insurance operations, answer the team’s questions, and hold employees accountable so the CEO can focus on sales and growth.

This opportunity fits an experienced transportation insurance manager or a strong senior account manager ready to lead a team.

What You Will Own

  • Supervise our deal flow coordinators and policy service team.
  • Assign work, set priorities, enforce deadlines, and check quality.
  • Answer insurance and workflow questions within your authority; research and verify answers when necessary.
  • Oversee submissions, renewals, endorsements, certificates, cancellations, policy checking, and carrier follow-ups.
  • Identify missing documents, application inconsistencies, and underwriting concerns.
  • Compare client contract insurance requirements with policies and endorsements; flag gaps and coordinate required changes.
  • Train employees, document procedures, and address recurring mistakes.
  • Keep CRM records accurate and outstanding tasks moving.
  • Recommend process improvements and staffing changes.
  • Send the CEO a brief daily update with urgent issues, decisions requiring approval, and recommended solutions.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years working in U.S. commercial insurance; 7+ preferred.
  • Substantial hands-on experience with both trucking and NEMT accounts.
  • Proven leadership experience: supervising staff, training employees, reviewing work, or managing team deadlines.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong judgment, organization, and accountability.
  • Availability during the stated U.S. business hours, including seasonal daylight-saving changes.
  • Reliable internet, backup internet, and a dependable remote work setup.

Insurance Knowledge Required

Trucking: Commercial auto liability, physical damage, motor truck cargo, general liability, hired/non-owned auto, trailer interchange, non-trucking liability, filings, driver eligibility, loss runs, and underwriting requirements.

NEMT: Wheelchair and stretcher operations, passenger transportation exposures, loading/unloading, auto and general liability, abuse/molestation coverage, workers’ compensation, and broker/facility contract requirements.

Both: Additional insured endorsements, waivers of subrogation, cancellation-notice requirements, certificates, policy checking, submissions, and renewals.

You must recognize when a matter requires an appropriately licensed insurance professional. Coverage advice, negotiation, and binding must remain within applicable licensing requirements and delegated authority.

Preferred tools: Zoho CRM, Applied Epic, AMS360, HawkSoft, EZLynx, PandaDoc, or similar systems.

What Success Looks Like

The team receives accurate guidance, deadlines are met, submissions are organized, renewals stay on track, and mistakes decrease. You resolve issues independently within your authority and bring the CEO clear recommendations when approval is needed.

How to Apply

Include all of the following:

1. Resume showing employment dates and U.S. insurance responsibilities.
2. A 2–3 minute Loom video explaining your trucking, NEMT, and leadership experience.
3. Separate trucking and NEMT experience summaries: years of experience, account types, and work you personally handled.
4. Leadership summary: team size, responsibilities, and one example of a problem you resolved.
5. Two professional references, preferably former U.S. agency owners or direct supervisors. Include name, title, company, work email , working relationship, and dates worked together. Obtain their permission before listing them.
6. Your expected monthly pay, earliest start date, and confirmation that you can work the stated schedule.

Finalists will complete a paid practical assessment covering trucking/NEMT knowledge, account review, prioritization, and team management. Reference checks will be coordinated before an offer.
