Payments & Merchant Accounts Coordinator - E-commerce
Confidential employer
Elva Labs (elvalabs.co) is a health and weight management brand. We are hiring a Payments & Merchant Accounts Coordinator to own the operational side of how we take money.
We currently run payments across several processors at once, and that mix changes. In the last 90 days we took just over 234,000 GBP across four active payment routes. Keeping those accounts healthy, applying for new ones, and getting them live quickly is a real job, and right now it is being done in gaps between other work.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own our payment processor applications end to end: research candidates, complete the applications, assemble the KYC and underwriting packs, chase the provider and keep each one moving until it is live
- Maintain a single organised store of the documents these applications always ask for, so we are never rebuilding the same pack from scratch
- Monitor the health of each live processor: approval and decline rates, settlement timing, fees, any sudden change in behaviour
- Own chargebacks. Gather the evidence, submit representments before the deadline, and track win rate
- Keep a live comparison of what each processor actually costs us once fees, reserves and settlement delays are counted
- Flag risk early. If a processor starts declining more, holding funds longer, or goes quiet, we need to know that week, not next month
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Experience with payment processors, merchant accounts, chargebacks or fintech onboarding. This is the core requirement
- Extremely organised with documentation. These applications live or die on paperwork being complete, consistent and fast
- Strong written English. You will be corresponding directly with providers and underwriters on our behalf
- Persistent. A lot of this job is politely chasing people who are slow
- Discreet and trustworthy. You will handle company and financial documents
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in a high risk or regulated merchant category
- Understanding of MCC codes, reserves, rolling settlements and underwriting
- Experience preparing KYC or AML documentation
COMPENSATION
$1,000 to $1,400 per month depending on experience, reviewed after three months.
TO APPLY
Tell us which payment processors or merchant account providers you have worked with directly, and describe one onboarding or chargeback case you handled from start to finish.
