Demand Writer / Personal Injury Paralegal

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Demand Writer / Personal Injury Paralegal to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience handling U.S. personal injury cases and is skilled in preparing persuasive demand packages supported by medical records, billing documentation, liability evidence, and case-specific damages. This role requires excellent legal writing, analytical thinking, and organization to maximize settlement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
Draft comprehensive and persuasive demand letters for personal injury claims.
Review and analyze medical records, billing statements, and treatment summaries.
Calculate economic and non-economic damages.
Organize medical chronologies and treatment timelines.
Gather and review police reports, a ---------- reports, photographs, witness statements, and insurance documentation.
Summarize liability and damages to support settlement negotiations.
Coordinate with attorneys regarding case strategy and demand preparation.
Communicate with medical providers to obtain outstanding records and billing.
Ensure demand packages are complete and accurately documented.
Monitor case deadlines and maintain organized case files.
Update case management systems (e.g., Filevine, Litify, Clio, SmartAdvocate, Needles, CasePeer, or similar).
Assist with additional litigation or pre-litigation tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Required
2+ years of experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal or Demand Writer in a U.S. law firm.
Strong experience preparing settlement demand packages.
Knowledge of the full personal injury case lifecycle.
Experience reviewing:
Medical records
Medical bills
Insurance policies
Police reports

Excellent legal writing and grammar skills.
