About the Role

I'm a U.S. government contractor hiring a full-time remote VA to collect subcontractor price quotes for our bids.

Responsibilities:

  • Find and build lists of qualified subcontractors by trade and region for each bid
  • Send RFQs and follow up consistently (email + phone) until quotes come in — target is 10+ quotes per week

-Log all quotes, follow-up dates, and vendor details in a shared tracker

Requirements:

  • Strong written and spoken English — you'll be calling and email ing U.S. subcontractors

-Available during U.S. Eastern mornings for overlap

  • Organized and persistent with follow-up (this is most of the job)

-Prior RFQ, procurement, or estimating-support experience.

Salary: $400/month, paid weekly. The first month is a contract trial period — if the work goes well, this converts to a full-time position.

To apply, answer all of these in your application:
1. What's the most quotes you've collected in a single week? Walk me through what that week looked like day by day.
2. Walk me through the last RFQ you sent: what trade was it for, how many subs did you contact, how many quotes came back, and how many days did it take?
3. What's the largest bid you've supported by dollar value, and how many quotes did you collect for it?
4. Send a document or screenshot of a quote tracker you use to track collected documents.
5. What's the most bids you've run quote collection for at the same time? How did you keep them all from slipping?
6. Name the last three bids you collected quotes for. How many quotes did you land on each, and what was your hit rate?
7. How do you verify a subcontractor is legitimate before sending an RFQ? Walk me through your exact checks step by step.

Instructions:
1. Please answer each question in three or less sentences.
2. Make the subject line “Collecting Quotes For Government Contracts"
3. Please do not attach any resume or any documents longer than 3 pages.
4. Include the phrase “Vendor Sourcing” in the last line of your application.
