Short-Form Video Editor / YouTube VA — Weekly Faceless Show (Kinetic Typography)
Confidential employer
I run a weekly YouTube show built on animated text (kinetic typography) synced to a voiceover — no on-camera footage. I record 2–3 minutes of audio; you turn it into finished content using a template I provide.
Each week you will: take my cleaned voice track, build the video from my reusable CapCut/Canva template, add and time-sync animated captions, export 1–3 vertical Shorts (9:16, 30–60s) plus one long-form compilation, then upload and schedule everything in YouTube Studio and cross-post the clips via Metricool.
You must have: proven short-form vertical editing (Shorts/Reels/TikTok); strong CapCut and/or Canva video skills including auto-captions and text animation; the discipline to follow a template and brand style exactly; comfort with YouTube Studio; clear written English; and reliable weekly delivery.
Nice to have: Canva thumbnail design, basic YouTube SEO, Metricool experience, audio cleanup (Adobe Podcast).
To apply: send (1) 2–3 examples of vertical, caption-driven Shorts you personally edited, (2) your rate (hourly or per-video), and (3) start the subject line with the word "EXPECTATION" so I know you read this. Trial: one paid test video before ongoing work.
5–7 screening questions
Show me 2–3 vertical Shorts you edited where animated captions/text are the main visual. Which parts did you personally do?
Walk me through, step by step, how you'd take a 3-minute voice recording and produce a 45-second kinetic-typography Short from a template I give you.
Which tools do you use for auto-captions and text animation, and how do you make the words land on the beat of the speaker's voice?
Have you uploaded and scheduled content in YouTube Studio (titles, tags, thumbnails, Shorts)? Have you used Metricool or a similar scheduler? Describe your workflow.
This is a weekly show. What's your process for hitting a recurring deadline, and how many of these could you deliver per week?
If my template's style and my instructions ever conflict, what do you do? (Looking for: follows the brand system, asks before improvising.)
What's your rate, and would you prefer hourly or per-deliverable? What's your internet reliability and time-zone overlap with US hours?
