About the Role

We’re looking for someone with real experience working with large B-roll/video libraries to help us organise, maintain and expand our footage library for short-form and long-form content.

This is not simply a video editing role.

A major part of the job is being able to take hundreds or thousands of video clips and create a system where an editor can quickly find exactly the right clip.

We want someone who already understands how to organise footage properly rather than someone we need to teach from scratch.

What you'll work on

You’ll help us:

  • Organise large libraries of B-roll footage
  • Create clear folder structures
  • Rename and categorise clips
  • Separate master/original footage from edited assets
  • Organise footage by things such as:
  • Emotion
  • Context
  • Location
  • Action
  • Person
  • Scene
  • Cinematic style
  • Content type
  • Identify the strongest usable moments from longer footage
  • Build reusable B-roll libraries for our editors
  • Source additional B-roll when required
  • Keep the library clean as new footage is added
  • Prepare footage primarily for 9:16 vertical short-form content
  • Help editors find relevant clips quickly instead of repeatedly searching from scratch

Our content includes personal-brand videos, business content, educational videos, lifestyle footage and cinematic/storytelling content.

We are also building systems around AI and automation, so experience with structured asset libraries, metadata, tagging or AI-assisted video workflows is a big advantage.

VERY IMPORTANT — application requirement

We want to see how you personally organise B-roll or video footage.

1. A Google Drive folder showing a real B-roll/video library you have organised, OR
2. another backend system you ahve or worked on
You can blur/remove any confidential client information.

We want to see things like:

  • Folder hierarchy
  • File naming
  • How you categorise footage
  • How you handle raw footage vs selected footage
  • How you organise footage that can be reused across multiple videos
  • How quickly another editor could find a specific type of shot

Please do not create a sample folder just for this application. We want to see a system you've genuinely used before.

Ideal candidate

You probably have experience as a:

  • B-roll editor
  • Video asset manager
  • Assistant video editor
  • Content editor
  • Media manager
  • YouTube editor
  • Short-form video editor

You should be highly organised and comfortable dealing with a large volume of video files.

Experience with Google Drive is important.

Experience with tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Descript, Gling, ---------- or similar is useful, but we're particularly interested in your footage organisation skills.

To apply

Start your application with the words:

B-ROLL LIBRARY

Then answer these questions:

1. How many years have you worked with video/B-roll?
2. Roughly how large was the biggest footage library you've managed?
3. How do you normally organise B-roll so editors can find footage quickly?
4. Do you use folders only, or do you also use naming conventions, tags, metadata or databases?
5. What editing/video tools do you use?
6. Have you worked mainly with 9:16 short-form, YouTube long-form, or both?
7. Send your Google Drive example or Loom walkthrough showing how you organise footage.
8. Send 2–3 examples of videos where you were responsible for selecting or organising the B-roll.

Applications without the footage-library example will not be considered.

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys turning a messy collection of footage into a clean, searchable, reusable content library.
