About the Role

About us

We make cosmetics for women over 45 and sell direct to consumer in the US and Germany. We're launching on Amazon in September. The company currently runs on Google Sheets, Slack threads and a few hand-built HTML tools, and that's no longer holding. We're building real internal systems and you'd be the person who builds them.

This isn't a Shopify or storefront role. Someone else owns the stores. You work entirely on internal systems.

What you'd work on

Rebuilding our supply chain tracker. Our supply chain manager built it herself with Claude. The logic is good but it saves to her browser, only she can edit it, and there's no record of who changed what. You'd turn it into a proper multi-user system with a Postgres backend, logins and roles, an audit trail, file storage against records, and automatic daily sales ingestion from Slack.
An internal tools platform. Our CEO builds tools with Claude (OKR tracker, comp planner) and they've got nowhere to live. You'd set up a private subdomain, one login across all of them, and data that persists.
Automations and integrations. Scheduled jobs syncing Slack and ClickUp, plus MCP servers so our AI agents can query internal data directly.

What you need

3+ years shipping full-stack web apps, with work we can look at
TypeScript, React or Next.js
Postgres, plus Supabase or Firebase including auth and row-level security
REST APIs and webhooks, with real experience of rate limits, retries and integrations that fail overnight
Deployment, DNS, environment and secret management
AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor or similar) as part of how you actually work
Written English strong enough to run async with a COO in another timezone

Nice to have
Slack API, ClickUp API, Python for data pipelines, Shopify Admin API, MCP servers, ecommerce or inventory experience. Also: taking over someone else's prototype and making it maintainable without making them feel bad about it.

We don't care about degrees, certifications or agency logos.

How we work
Flexible hours with meaningful overlap with Manila. Written end-of-day updates, work tracked in ClickUp. You'll get requirements from a COO, not a product manager. Some will be wrong and we expect you to say so. Every system ships with a README and a handover note.

This is ongoing, not a project. We'd rather grow it into full-time than hand it to someone else in six months.

How to apply:

Send us:

  • A link to something you built that non-technical people use daily, and a sentence on what broke and what you changed
  • Your answer to this: our tracker currently saves everything to browser local storage. Outline how you'd move it to a database without losing historical data and without our supply chain manager losing a day of work during the switch. Six sentences is plenty.

Applications without the second item won't be read.
