About the Role

We are a U.S.-based social-services organization seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Administrative & Provider Support Coordinator to provide remote administrative and operational support to our management team and field providers.

This is not a clinical position and not a general VA position. We need someone who understands behavioral-health or healthcare operations and can independently manage routine administrative matters, keep providers organized, identify missing information, follow up consistently, and know when an issue needs to be escalated to management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate provider/Behavioral Aide schedules and coverage
  • Respond to routine provider questions and follow up on outstanding needs
  • Review service notes/documentation for completeness and required information
  • Track missing or late documentation and follow up
  • Maintain appointment, deadline, i ---------- and administrative trackers
  • Assist with provider onboarding, orientation and training coordination
  • Help coordinate administrative response during i ---------- or unexpected situations
  • Maintain organized records and communications
  • Follow confidentiality/HIPAA requirements
  • Provide management with concise updates on unresolved or urgent matters
  • Help improve administrative processes, checklists and workflows
  • Support recruiting/screening/onboarding when needed

Required Experience:

We strongly prefer candidates with direct experience in behavioral health, mental health, healthcare administration, social services, medical administration, provider coordination or a closely related field.

You must be organized, professional, dependable, comfortable communicating with providers, able to follow up without being reminded, and understand the difference between an administrative decision and a matter that requires clinical or management escalation.

Schedule:
Approximately 5–10 hours per week initially, with additional hours available as services increase and based on performance.

Some availability overlapping U.S. Eastern Time is required.

To Apply:

Please answer these 5 questions:

1. Describe your direct behavioral-health, mental-health, healthcare or social-services experience.
2. Have you reviewed provider/service documentation for completeness or compliance? Explain briefly.
3. Have you coordinated schedules or handled last-minute provider coverage?
4. What hours can you consistently work overlapping U.S. Eastern Time?
5. What is your requested hourly rate and earliest available start date?
