Medical Billing Team Lead

I am looking for an experienced Medical Billing Team Lead to help oversee our medical billing and revenue cycle operations. This role will manage and support a team of medical billers, provide training and coaching, and help ensure billing tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Responsibilities
Oversee the daily workflow and workload of assigned medical billers.
Monitor claims submission and help resolve delays or recurring issues.
Review and assist with denials, rejections, and appeals.
Monitor payment posting and account reconciliations.
Help ensure patient balances and billing information are accurate.
Serve as the first point of escalation for complex billing concerns.
Maintain consistent communication with assigned clinics through email , Google Meet, phone, and other established channels.
Review billing trackers, spreadsheets, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Train, coach, and support medical billers by answering questions and identifying knowledge gaps.
Monitor team quality, productivity, follow-through, and completion of assigned tasks.
Help identify opportunities to improve billing processes and team performance.

Qualifications
3+ years of management or team leadership experience in medical billing, healthcare operations, or a call center environment.
Strong knowledge of medical billing and the full revenue cycle.
Proven experience training and managing remote teams.
Experience working with virtual assistants or distributed teams.
Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
Experience with WebPT, Stride, Tebra, Prompt, and Heno is required.
Willing to work PST business hours
I’m looking for someone who is organized, hands-on, dependable, and confident in leading a remote billing team. You should be comfortable handling escalations, coaching team members, and making sure billing operations stay accurate and on track.
