Part-Time By the Job Photo Editor (Lightroom)

I am looking to hire a part-time photo editor to assist with editing portrait photography sessions. I am in the Central US Time Zone. Payment is per image/job not per hour.

Job Overview

You will be editing portrait photography sessions (newborn, family, senior, headshots etc.) primarily in Adobe Lightroom Classic. My editing style is clean, natural, and true-to-life with soft tones and balanced light and subtle vibrance.

Each session will include 100–200 images on average.

The weekly workload will vary, typically around 1–3 sessions per week. Some weeks may have no sessions, but most will include at least one.

Communicate mainly through email but some communication may be through Gmail chat or Trello.

This position will be paid per job and offers flexible hours, as long as deadlines are met.

This is a long-term opportunity for the right candidate, with potential for additional editing work or other types of VA work as my business continues to grow.

Compensation
Pay per image / per job

$0.20 USD per image – Basic global adjustments for brightness, white balance, point tone curve, contrast, shadows, hsl colors, vibrance, sharpening, noise control, , straightening, and occasional cropping. Some images may need brush work and linear gradients. Occasional subject or background masking. Minor object or blemish removal

Complicated localized edits or photoshop work would be compensated per image on a job to job basis and would be quoted upfront.

Payment is delivered per completed job via PayPal

Editing Workflow

Receive an email with a session to be edited. Will include a link to file of Smart Previews Lightroom catalog from a shared online google drive folder. Also a link to watch a short 3–5 minute screen recording with specific editing instructions for that session.

Respond to email within 48 business hours if you can return the edited catalog within 5 business days or not. If not, state the date you expect to be able to finish it and I will accept or reject the proposed date.

A set of anchor images (10–20) will be pre-edited to demonstrate the desired edits for each section of the gallery. You’ll match your edits to these reference images for consistency throughout the gallery.

You may sync edits across similar images, but should adjust individual images as needed for straightening and all other settings if needed to account for any individual image variations and to maintain consistent edits across the gallery.

Upload finished catalog to the shared drive space

Respond to original email stating that the gallery has been edited

I will email back to confirm receipt of the catalog. If feedback or corrections are needed I will provide an email and or screen record review. You will be expected to re-edit or make the requested adjustments within 3 business days.

Confidentiality Agreement

All Client Images And Files Must Be Kept Strictly Confidential And May Not Be Shared Or Used For Any Purpose Outside Of This Job. Once I Send Final Approval You Must Delete The Catalog And Any Associated Files From Your Computer. Images May Not Be Kept, Exported, Or Used For Any Other Purposes.

Requirements
Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom Classic (required)
Strong attention to detail and ability to match editing style accurately
Reliable internet connection for downloading/uploading Lightroom catalogs
Reply to chats and email s within 24 hours (within your time zone).
Proficient in English language.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply feedback

Must be able to complete each session within 5 business days, unless otherwise discussed
