Spanish Instructional Specialist (Homeschool or After-School)

Job Description:
We are Playbook Virtual Learning, an elite educational management firm based in Mississippi, USA. We are seeking a high-rigor Spanish Instructional Specialist to provide 1-on-1 language instruction for middle school students. We are looking for a specialist who can serve as either a Daily Homeschool Teacher (Morning Session) or an After-School Tutor (Evening Session).

The Role:
This is a high-standards position. You will not just be "practicing conversation." You will be responsible for leading a student toward high-school credit fluency using a structured, pencil-to-paper instructional model.

Key Responsibilities:

Instruction: Deliver 1-on-1 Spanish lessons via Zoom using a Document Camera (to view student writing in real-time).

Curriculum: Execute lessons using Savvas Auténtico (Realize) or similar structured K-12 curricula.

Standards: Align instruction with Mississippi World Language Framework standards.

Monitoring: Log daily progress in our Google Tracker, focusing on vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation.

Communication: Maintain professional contact with the Executive Director regarding student mastery.

Requirements:

Fluency: Native or near-native Spanish fluency + Professional English.

Experience: 2+ years of formal teaching/tutoring experience with US students (Grades 6–12).

Technical: Stable fiber internet, quiet background, and high-quality webcam. Must be comfortable with Document Camera technology.

Background: Must provide or be willing to obtain a fresh NBI Clearance.

Compensation & Schedule:

Rate: ?250 - ?400 per hour (DOE).

Shift A (Homeschool): 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM CST (9:00 PM – 12:00 AM PHT).

Shift B (After-School): 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM CST (4:30 AM – 7:30 AM PHT).
