Motion designer and video editor – brand identities (8-week contract, full-time, remote)

We are a branding consultancy based in Dubai and London. We create brand identities for large organisations across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.

Much of our portfolio work needs updating with fresh motion. We are hiring one senior designer for an eight-week, full-time contract to do this.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Animate four to six brand identities from our original Illustrator files
• Create short rendering videos for each project, in both graphic and video form
• Update and modernise existing brand renderings and mockups in Photoshop
• Match the standard of benchmark examples we will share with you
• Prepare final files for our website in the formats we specify

We will give you clear briefs and benchmarks for each piece. You will plan your own week to deliver them on schedule.

WHAT WE NEED

These four skills are essential. We will not consider applications without them:

• Advanced After Effects, including logo and identity animation
• Premiere Pro for editing and finishing video
• Illustrator, including preparing vector artwork for animation
• Photoshop to a high standard for rendering and retouching

We also need:

• At least three years of motion design work, ideally for branding studios or agencies
• A showreel with logo or identity animation for real brands
• A strong eye for typography, timing and restraint
• Good written English and clear communication
• A computer that can render After Effects projects smoothly
• A reliable internet connection with a backup

Social media templates, simple text animation and Canva designers are not what we are looking for. We want someone who understands how a brand should come to life digitally.

HOURS

Full-time, 9am to 6pm Manila time, Monday to Friday. We hold a 15-minute call each day at 3pm your time, which is 11am in Dubai. It is a short check-in on progress and feedback.

PAY AND TERMS

• 1,500 USD per month for eight weeks, full-time
• Paid on the 15th and 30th via Wise, with fees covered by us
• A paid test before we offer the contract
• Possible further work after the contract for the right person

This is a full-time contract, and we need your full attention for the eight weeks. It is not suited to working alongside other clients during that time.

All work and source files belong to the company. Some of our clients are confidential. You may show selected work in your portfolio once we have agreed it with you.

HOW TO APPLY

Type Brand Design Motion as the first line of your application.

Share a link to your showreel. Name three pieces in it and describe your role on each one. Tell us your earliest start date and whether you can commit full-time for eight weeks.

Then answer these three questions:

1. How do you prepare an Illustrator logo for animation in After Effects?
2. Describe a brand identity you have animated. What was the brief, and how did you approach the motion?
3. A brand rendering looks dated. What would you change first in Photoshop to modernise it?

We will ignore any application without the words Brand Design Motion, a showreel link or the three answers.
