E-commerce Finance Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented e-commerce finance assistant to help us maintain accurate financial records and daily profitability reporting for our e-commerce business.

This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working with numbers, understands basic finance/accounting principles, and is highly skilled with Google Sheets or Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update daily financial reports
• Track revenue, discounts, refunds, and chargebacks
• Calculate and record Cost of Goods (COG)
• Track transaction fees and other operational costs
• Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly profit figures
• Reconcile financial data from different sources
• Identify discrepancies, missing data, and incorrect entries
• Ensure financial spreadsheets are accurate and well structured.
• Help improve and automate our existing financial reporting processes

What We're Looking For

• You should have a good understanding of financial concepts such as revenue, COGS, gross profit, expenses, net profit, and profit margin.
• Strong Google Sheets / Excel skills are important. You should be comfortable working with formulas, organizing larger amounts of financial data, and creating clear reporting structures.
• Experience with e-commerce finance, bookkeeping, accounting, Shopify, payment processors, or advertising platforms is a strong advantage.
• We are looking for someone who doesn't simply enter numbers, but also notices when numbers don't make sense and investigates discrepancies.
