VIDEO EDITOR - LONG FORM +SHORT FORM CONTENT

I’m looking for a talented video editor to help me create polished long-form and short-form content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Shorts.

This role is focused on editing.

I’m documenting a major life transition — losing a nearly $200K/year job in Los Angeles and figuring out what comes next. The content will include career, lifestyle, budgeting, fitness, personal moments, interviews, business ideas, and day-to-day life.

I need an editor who can take raw footage and turn it into content that is clean, engaging, polished, and enjoyable to watch.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Editing long-form YouTube videos
• Editing TikToks, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Cleaning up raw footage and assembling strong edits
• Cutting for pacing, clarity, and viewer retention
• Removing dead space, repetition, and anything unnecessary
• Adding captions, music, sound effects, graphics, zooms, and B-roll where appropriate
• Making videos feel polished without feeling over-edited or fake
• Delivering content in the correct formats for different platforms
• Making revisions based on feedback

What I’m Looking For

I want someone who is strong in the actual craft of editing.

You should be good at:

• Pacing
• Clean cuts
• Music selection
• Sound design
• Captions
• Graphics
• Visual timing
• Long-form editing
• Short-form editing
• Organizing footage and project files
• Following direction while still bringing a good editing eye

You do NOT need to be the content strategist or producer for this role.

I mainly need someone who can take direction, work with footage efficiently, and create strong final edits.

Experience editing creator content, YouTube videos, Reels, TikToks, vlogs, documentary-style content, or personality-driven content is a big plus.
