Credit, Financial Research & Outreach Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and resourceful specialist to assist with credit research, financial institution outreach, and document preparation. This role involves conducting executive-level research, making outbound calls to financial institutions and credit bureaus, and organizing data into structured systems.

This is not a basic virtual assistant role. Accuracy, communication, and attention to detail are critical.

Key Responsibilities

???? Executive & Company Research

• Identify CEO, CFO, and Legal Counsel for banks, lenders, and collection agencies
• Locate corporate addresses and relevant contact information
• Research company structure using public databases (Secretary of State, SEC filings when applicable)

???? Document Preparation

• Complete and customize templates for dispute letters and affidavits
• Ensure all details (names, dates, account references) are accurate
• Prepare documents for certified mailing and email delivery

???? Phone Outreach & Information Gathering

• Contact credit bureaus (TransUnion, Experian, Equifax) to gather:

• Requirements to become a data furnisher (consumer & business reporting)
• Contact departments, onboarding steps, and compliance requirements

• Contact banks, lenders, and fintech companies to gather:

• Loan and credit card products offered
• Approval requirements (credit score, income, etc.)
• Which credit bureaus are used (TransUnion, Experian, Equifax)
• Partnership or referral opportunities (if available)

???? Data Organization & Reporting

• Build and maintain organized Google Sheets / Airtable databases
• Accurately document ALL call responses and findings (no assumptions)

Required Skills

• Strong research skills (Google, LinkedIn, company websites, public records)
• Comfortable making professional phone calls
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions exactly
• Proficiency with Google Sheets / Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in credit repair, lending, or financial services
• Experience with outbound calling
• Familiarity with business credit or underwriting basics
