AI Operations & Customer Support Specialist (Full-Time, Long-Term)
Confidential employer
We run an online service business that helps people recover and manage Instagram accounts. Our customers order through an app, and a lot of our operation runs on AI assistants that talk to customers, answer questions and move orders along.
The AI does a lot - but it cannot be left alone. That is the job.
WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
1) WATCHING OVER OUR AI ASSISTANTS (about half your time)
We have several AI assistants that message customers directly - one handles sales conversations, one handles order updates, one handles support tickets, and others. All of them are in your scope. Your job is to be the human checking their work:
- Read what the AI said to customers and spot anything wrong: a made-up answer, a promise we cannot keep, the wrong price, a rude or robotic reply, or the same message sent over and over
- Flag it, pause that assistant yourself if it is doing damage (you will have the controls - we would rather you stop it at 10pm than wait for us), and tell us what happened
- Notice patterns, not just one-off mistakes ("it keeps doing X with this type of customer")
- Step in and reply as a human when the AI is out of its depth
You do not need to be technical and you will not be programming. You need to be the person who reads something that sounds confident and thinks "hang on, that's not right."
2) CUSTOMER SUPPORT TICKETS (about a third of your time)
- Answer customer questions and complaints in our support system
- Chase customers for information we need to finish their order
- Keep tickets moving so nothing sits ignored for days
3) SERVICE DELIVERY (the rest)
- Complete customer orders by hand on our phones, following a written step-by-step guide
- It is roughly 10-15 minutes per order once you know it
- Tell the customer when it is done, or ask for what is missing
BEING HONEST ABOUT THE WORK
- A lot of it is repetitive. Reading AI conversations and completing the same order checklist. Some people find that steady and satisfying; others are bored in a month and quit. Please know yourself.
- It is screen-heavy and detail-heavy. Accuracy matters far more than speed.
- The hours are long and it is 6 days a week. Please only apply if that genuinely suits you.
- You will find mistakes, including ours. We want someone who says "this is wrong" rather than someone who goes along with it.
- What it is not: no cold calling, no sales targets, no content creation, no coding.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Good written English. You message customers directly. It does not need to be perfect, but it must be clear, warm and typo-light.
- Judgement. The core skill is spotting when something is wrong even though it sounds convincing.
- Careful and consistent. One wrong tap can cost a customer their appeal.
- Comfortable with phones, two-factor authentication and backup codes. Not technical - just not nervous about it.
- A reliable setup. Stable internet and power for your whole shift, and a quiet place to work.
- Completely trustworthy. You will have access to customer account details. This is monitored and logged, you will sign a confidentiality agreement, and you will start on a paid trial.
Nice to have (not required): customer support, content moderation, social media management, quality assurance, or any experience working alongside AI tools.
THE DETAILS
- Pay: $4 per hour, paid hourly (about $1,040/month at 60 hours a week). Paid on time, every time.
- Hours: about 10 hours a day, 6 days a week (roughly 60 hours a week). Our customers are in Europe, so the working window is roughly 2:00pm - 11:00pm Philippine time.
- Trial: 1-2 week PAID trial on real work before we commit long-term.
- Long-term and stable. We want someone for years, not weeks.
- Real authority: you can pause an AI assistant yourself when it is doing damage. We trust the person doing the watching to act, not to file a report and wait.
- Everything is browser-based on our systems. You need a reliable computer and a stable internet connection, nothing else.
- Your rate is reviewed after the first 3 months.
HOW TO APPLY - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Please do not send a generic CV or a cover letter written by AI. We can tell, and it is an instant no - partly because this job is about spotting AI output.
Answer all 9 points below, in this order. Applications that skip any point will not be read.
1. Start your message with the words "human check" so we know you read this properly.
2. YOUR LAST RELEVANT JOB: where, how long, and what you actually did day to day. Please include how many customers or tickets you handled per day, and which tools you used (Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Gorgias, Telegram , email , or none). If you have no support experience, say so plainly - willingness to learn is fine, but be honest.
3. TELL US ABOUT A REAL TIME YOU CAUGHT SOMEONE ELSE'S MISTAKE AT WORK - what it was, how you noticed, and what you did about it. One short paragraph. This is the closest thing to the actual job, so please give a real example, not a general statement.
4. READ THIS MESSAGE that an AI assistant sent to a real customer, and tell us what is wrong with it:
"Hi! Good news, we're sending the login request to your phone again right now and our team is actively working on your account as we speak. You should see it come through in the next few minutes. We'll have this fully resolved for you today, guaranteed!"
The truth at that moment: nothing was running, nobody was working on the account, and we had no idea when it would be resolved.
In your own words: what is wrong here, and why does it matter? (3-4 sentences)
5. A customer messages: "this is taking forever, I want a refund." Our policy is that we do not give refunds - we fix the problem or replace the account. Write the exact message you would send back to this customer.
6. You notice our AI has sent the same customer almost the same message 8 times in one night. What do you do, and in what order? (2-3 sentences)
7. Confirm you can work about 10 hours a day, 6 days a week, in the 2:00pm - 11:00pm Philippine time window. Also tell us your expected hourly rate in USD.
8. YOUR WORK SETUP - please be specific, because we need you online for the whole shift:
- Your internet provider and your actual speed (a speed test screenshot is ideal)
- Your backup if the internet goes down (mobile data, pocket wifi, a second provider?)
- How often your area has brownouts, and what you do if the power goes out mid-shift (UPS, power bank, generator, a cafe nearby?)
- Your computer (make and rough age), and whether you have a quiet place to work
Please be honest here. We would much rather know about a weekly brownout up front than discover it in week two. Having a backup plan matters more to us than having perfect conditions.
9. Your CV or OnlineJobs profile, plus one sentence on which part of it is most relevant to this specific job.
Everyone who follows all 9 steps gets a reply. Shortlisted candidates get a short paid test task before any interview.
