Conversion-Focused Podcast & Social Media Copywriter
We’re looking for a strong, strategic copywriter to join our podcast production and social media marketing team.
This role is for someone who understands that great copy isn't just about sounding good, it needs to move the needle.
Our clients are entrepreneurs, CEOs, doctors, experts, thought leaders, and personal brands. We need a copywriter who knows how to turn their expertise into content that captures attention, builds authority, creates demand, and ultimately helps attract qualified leads.
This is not a basic AI copy-and-paste position.
We need someone who understands copywriting, social media marketing, audience psychology, lead generation, SEO, and conversion and can apply those skills differently for each client.
What You'll Be Writing
You'll create copy across multiple client accounts, including:
- Podcast show notes
- SEO-optimized YouTube titles and descriptions
- Instagram captions
- LinkedIn posts
- Facebook posts
- TikTok/Reels/Shorts copy
- High-converting hooks
- Calls-to-action (CTAs)
- Episode promotional copy
- SEO keywords
- Lead-generation content
- Authority-building content
- Repurposed content from podcast transcripts and long-form videos
We Need More Than a Good Writer
We need someone who understands why people stop scrolling, engage, click, follow, comment, DM, and ultimately become leads.
You should be able to look at a piece of podcast content and think strategically:
What's the strongest hook?
What pain point will make this audience pay attention?
What angle will generate curiosity?
How can we position this client as the authority?
What CTA makes sense for this piece of content?
How can this post create a conversation that leads to business?
How do we turn attention into actual demand for the client's services?
We're not interested in posting content simply to stay active on social media.
The goal is strategic content that moves the needle.
What We're Looking For
Excellent written and spoken English is REQUIRED.
You should:
- Write fluent, natural English with excellent grammar
- Have strong direct-response or conversion copywriting skills
- Understand social media marketing and lead generation
- Know how to write hooks that immediately capture attention
- Understand buyer psychology and what motivates someone to take action
- Know how to turn educational content into demand for a client's services
- Understand how to build authority and trust through content
- Write compelling CTAs without making every post feel overly promotional
- Understand the differences between LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook , YouTube and TikTok audiences
- Know how to balance value-driven, authority-building and conversion-focused content
- Adapt to each client's unique voice and personality
- Understand SEO and keyword optimization
- Be able to identify the strongest ideas within long podcast transcripts
- Research unfamiliar industries and understand their target customers
- Be highly detail-oriented
- Manage multiple brands and deadlines
- Take ownership of results and quality
Understanding the Client's Voice Is Critical
We work with many different clients, and they should NOT all sound like the same copywriter.
A CEO should sound like that CEO.
A doctor should sound like that doctor.
A high-energy entrepreneur should sound like themselves.
Before writing, you should be able to understand the client's:
- Voice
- Personality
- Audience
- Offers
- Positioning
- Expertise
- Customer pain points
- Brand messaging
- Business goals
The copy should feel like the client wrote it... just strategically better.
AI Experience
We use AI tools as part of our workflow, so experience with ChatGPT, Claude, and similar tools is a plus.
However:
AI should assist your thinking. It should not do your thinking for you.
We do NOT want someone who copies a transcript into AI, generates captions, and submits them without reviewing or refining the output.
Every piece of copy needs human strategy behind it.
You are responsible for making sure the final copy:
- Sounds human
- Matches the client's voice
- Opens with a strong hook
- Speaks directly to the target audience
- Creates curiosity or conversation
- Builds authority
- Has a strategic CTA when appropriate
- Supports the client's business and lead-generation goals
- Is accurate to the original content
- Has been thoroughly proofread
- Does not sound generic or obviously AI-generated
You May Be a Great Fit If...
You can read a 45-minute podcast transcript and quickly identify:
“That's the hook.”
“That should be the YouTube title.”
“This section speaks directly to the client's ideal buyer.”
“This could become a strong LinkedIn authority post.”
“That idea could generate comments and conversation.”
“We should connect this topic to the client's offer.”
“This CTA could turn engagement into leads.”
That's the level of strategic thinking we're looking for.
How to Apply
Please send:
1. A brief introduction and overview of your copywriting experience.
2. Examples of social media copy you've written.
3. Examples of content you've written specifically to generate leads, inquiries, sales, or conversions.
4. Examples of podcast show notes or YouTube descriptions, if available.
5. Any measurable results your copy has helped generate.
6. The AI tools you currently use and how you use them.
7. Your availability and preferred working hours.
IMPORTANT: Start your application with the words “COPY THAT CONVERTS” so we know you read the full job description.
Required Writing Test
Choose a podcast, YouTube interview, or business video and provide:
- 3 different hooks you would test on social media
- 1 Instagram/Facebook caption
- 1 LinkedIn post
- 1 SEO-friendly YouTube title
- A short YouTube description
- 1 CTA designed to generate leads or inquiries
Then briefly explain:
Why did you choose these hooks and CTA, and how would they help move the audience toward becoming a lead?
We're looking for someone who wants to become a long-term member of our content team, understands marketing strategy, and takes real ownership of the copy and results we produce for our clients.
