Build and Run a Remote Estimating Team (Founding Hire)

About Us
We are a US based countertop company. We already employ Filipino estimators who prepare quotes for our customers, and it works. Now we are building a small staffing company in the Philippines to provide trained estimators to countertop fabricators across the US.
This is not a call center. Our people do skilled work: reading plans, measuring, and preparing accurate quotes.
The Role
You are the first management hire. You will help build the company, then run it. The first goal is a team of 10 estimators.
What You Will Do
Recruit, screen, and hire estimators — people who are careful with numbers and can learn a trade.
Onboard and train new hires with our lead estimator; write the training down so it repeats.
Write the SOPs: hiring, timekeeping, quality checks, client handoffs.
Check the quality of finished estimates before they reach the client.
Track hours, attendance, and output; prepare payroll for approval.
Be the day-to-day contact for our US clients once staff are placed.
Report to the owner weekly: who is hired, who is billable, what is stuck.
Keep good people — retention is part of the job.
What We Are Looking For
3+ years managing a team in a BPO, call center, or staffing agency in the Philippines.
You have personally hired and trained people, not just supervised them.
You have built or improved a process and can show it.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Comfortable with Google Workspace and spreadsheets.
Working knowledge of Philippine employment basics (contracts, 13th month, government contributions).
Reliable internet, backup power, quiet workspace.
A plus: construction, architecture, engineering, or estimating background.

We will qualify candidates via Zoom Calls and conduct in person interviews in Manila October 5th - 8th.
