Pinterest Manager for Established Culture & Events Website
Confidential employer
What this role is (and isn't)
This is a traffic job, not a "make pretty pins" job. Our website earns money from display advertising, so the only number that really matters is clicks from Pinterest to ---------- .
Impressions and saves are nice, but outbound clicks are the goal.
What you'll do
Create fresh pins from our existing library of blog posts, articles, videos, and calendar listings. You won't need to write new articles; the content is already there.
Make several pin variations per article (different images, headlines, and angles) and test what drives clicks.
Write keyword-rich pin titles and descriptions and organize boards around what people actually search for on Pinterest.
Create pins that promote our free email newsletter (secondary goal).
Clean up and restructure existing boards where needed.
Send a short monthly report: outbound clicks, top pins, and what you're trying next.
What we're looking for
Proven experience driving outbound traffic from Pinterest to an informational, blog, or content website (not only ecommerce or product pins).
Strong Canva skills (or similar tools).
Understanding of Pinterest SEO, fresh pins, and how the algorithm treats new vs. repinned content.
Experience with a scheduler such as Tailwind or Pinterest's native scheduler.
Reliability. We've tried this before with people who started strong and then disappeared. We need consistency more than anything.
About our content
You don't need to know powwow or Native culture going in, but you must handle it respectfully. When you're unsure about a photo, term, or tradition, ask; don't guess. Please do not use AI-generated images of Native people, regalia, or ceremonies. Only use photos we provide or approve. Our community notices, and it matters to us.

Hours and pay
Ongoing and long-term, about 3-5 hours per week, set and consistent. If traffic increases, hours can increase. Paid hourly. Please quote your hourly rate.
To apply, answer these questions:
Name one or two Pinterest accounts you've managed that drove traffic to a website. What kind of site was it, and roughly how many monthly outbound clicks did you get?
Please share a screenshot from Pinterest Analytics showing outbound clicks for an account you managed.
Describe a pin or strategy that clearly increased outbound clicks. What did you change, and what happened?
Our account has been dormant but still gets some traffic. What would you do in your first 30 days?
How many pins per week do you think is realistic and effective for your hours?
Have you ever used Pinterest to grow an email list? If so, how?
What is your hourly rate, and how many hours per week can you commit?
Include links to 3–5 pins you've designed.
