ABOUT THE ROLE
We are a UK brand and digital design studio working with B2B and B2C businesses across two core areas: brand and rebrand projects, and website design. All designs are produced in Figma.
The studio operates as a solo practice. The Founder handles strategy, concepts, creative direction and client relationships himself, and now needs a senior designer to take on the execution so he can stay focused on the creative direction rather than the rollout.
This is a hands-on design role at a high standard. Concepts, brand direction and client sign-off are handled by the Founder; the Remote Specialist develops that approved direction into complete, polished sites. The work needs independence and taste rather than supervision — this is not a role for someone who needs step-by-step instruction or repeated design correction.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
-Taking an approved concept, brand direction or signed-off homepage and developing it into complete page designs across a site
-Designing responsive layouts that hold up across breakpoints
-Working on e-commerce and Shopify design projects, including product discovery, collection pages and product pages
-Solving UX problems within an agreed direction: navigation, hierarchy and user journeys
-Building clean, well-structured Figma files that are ready for development handover
-Compiling brand guideline documents from signed-off assets, including application examples (billboards, website banners, social) and rules for spacing, type and colour
-Explaining design decisions clearly and flagging problems early
-Developing brand collateral and marketing materials once direction has been approved.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Advanced Figma skills - Auto Layout, components, variants and structured, reusable design systems (non-negotiable)
Senior-level experience as a web or digital designer
Excellent UI and UX skills, with a strong grasp of responsive behaviour, navigation and user journeys
