THE ROLE
As we continue to scale multiple brands, we are seeking a Contract UI/UX Designer to join our team part time. This role sits within our in-house creative team and is ideal for a hands-on designer with strong UI/UX and ecommerce experience, who enjoys solving digital problems across multiple brands and turning ideas into intuitive, high-performing experiences.

You'll work closely with our Design & Experience Lead and broader creative, ecommerce, marketing, and product teams, taking ownership of digital projects from brief through to final design and developer handover. You'll also support our CRO program, contributing to research, customer journeys, hypothesis development, and pre- and post-experiment analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • UI/UX Design: Design and improve digital experiences across multiple ecommerce brands, including landing pages, website pages, collection experiences, navigation, and other website enhancements.
  • Landing Pages & Website Design: Own projects from brief and initial UX thinking through to wireframes, high-fidelity UI design, prototyping, and developer handover, ensuring solutions are both user-friendly and commercially effective.
  • UX & Customer Journeys: Help map customer journeys, identify friction points, and translate user needs and business objectives into clear, intuitive digital experiences.
  • CRO Support: Contribute to the CRO program by supporting research, identifying opportunities, developing hypotheses, designing test solutions, and assisting with pre- and post-experiment analysis.
  • Design Systems: Work within and contribute to existing design systems and brand guidelines, ensuring consistency while adapting digital experiences to suit different brands and audiences.
  • Shopify Design: Design and support front-end improvements across Shopify websites, with a strong understanding of the platform's capabilities and limitations.
  • Creative Collaboration: Work closely within the creative team alongside digital designers, graphic designers, copywriters, and content creators to deliver cohesive, high-quality digital experiences.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, ecommerce, product, development, and data teams to deliver design solutions that balance user needs, brand, and commercial objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2–4 years' experience as a UI/UX or Digital Designer, ideally within e-commerce, agency, or fast-paced digital environments.
  • Strong practical experience designing for e-commerce websites, with a portfolio demonstrating real-world website, landing page, and UX work.
  • Advanced Figma skills with experience creating wireframes, high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and developer-ready handovers.
  • Strong Shopify experience and a solid understanding of working within Shopify's front-end environment.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, information architecture, user journeys, interaction design, typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and responsive design.
  • Ability to take ownership of a project from brief through to final design and developer handover, while working independently and managing deadlines.
  • Comfortable balancing user needs, brand requirements, and commercial objectives when making design decisions.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset.
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and how front-end designs are implemented is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, brands, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

HIGHLY REGARDED

  • Experience working within an ecommerce CRO or experimentation program.
  • Experience with GA4, Intelligems, Rebuy, or other ecommerce analytics, experimentation, and optimisation tools.
  • Experience using customer data, behavioural insights, user research, or analytics to inform design decisions.
  • Experience contributing to A/B testing, including hypothesis development, test design, and analysing results.
  • Experience creating customer journeys, identifying conversion friction, and developing UX improvements based on data.
  • Experience working across multiple brands or sub-brands.
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining design systems.
  • Experience utilising AI-powered tools to support design, research, ideation, or creative workflows.

BENEFITS
