About the Role

Positions Available:
Video Review Quality Control (1 position available)
We launch hundreds of ‘How To’ YouTube episodes every month across our various client's channels. We are in need of an additional team member to help with quality control. Your main role will be to review the completed video and check for editing errors, spelling errors, out of place content, etc.

The ideal candidate needs to have meticulous attention to detail, a habit of consistency and can handle the weight of people relying on you. Experience in quality control or video editing or a keen eye will really be helpful, as you will be the one putting the stamp of approval on each video before our clients or the public sees it.

Description Writer (1 position available)
As a description writer, you will join our YouTube team. When the editing team is finished with things on their side, the YouTube team takes over with a variety of tasks, including writing the description. You’ll start with the specific template we use for the corresponding channel, and then customize it with a 1 or 2 paragraph summary of the video content, followed by a specific time-stamped “table of contents” called chapters. We’ll teach you how to do this.

The ideal candidate needs to have mastery over English writing and grammar. The writing projects won’t be overly complex, but everything needs to be written in a way that sounds native English. The first part of the introduction needs to be written in a compelling way, to create curiosity in the viewer compelling them to watch the episode.

Transcription, Cards, Endscreens & Chapter TimeStamps (2 positions available)
YouTube transcriptions are vital to the success of our YouTube strategy. Today, instead of using keyword tags to index a video for search, YouTube uses the transcription and knows what the video is about. YouTube will automatically transcribe the video, and your job will be to comb through it adding capitalization, punctuation, and correct spelling errors. You will also take note of “Chapters” throughout the video and provide that information to our description writers.

The ideal candidate for this position needs to be able to endure repetitive tasks with a close attention to detail. You need to be advanced in English spelling and writing. The keyword strategy we use will ensure our clients say the right words within the video, and you will ensure those words are spelled correctly in the transcription. A history of reliability when working solo is a great advantage.
