About the Role

Trainee to Full Career: Social Media Marketer & GoKollab Community Manager

$2.00-$3.00/hour starting salary, reviewed after initial 4 months
Full-Time (40 hrs/week) - Flexible Hours

Paid trial-to-permanent role with outcome bonuses, full career training and support, plus long-term growth opportunity with our not-for-profit organization.

The Mission

We operate a Young Adult Mentoring Network built around online mentoring, learning marketing, AI and tech, adventure meet-ups and travel experiences.

Our non-profit volunteers guide young adults through transformative journeys that combine mentorship, personal development, real-world skills and adventure.

Our programs connect mentees with mentors, organize adventure-based learning experiences, manage family and community engagement, and track personal growth outcomes, all while scaling to serve more young people across multiple regions.

You'll work directly with the directors with maximum autonomy (we run on Holacracy principles). Execute with creativity, master our processes, and after proving your value and fast learning capabilities you'll be promoted to SMM Team Leader, building and recruiting your own team (with increased salary for increased responsibility).

What You'll Actually Build

  • Create and manage new social media accounts
  • Master and implement our Buffer-style social media management tools across all platforms
  • Generate content using team input and AI tools
  • Begin learning to integrate lead acquisition from email marketing, socials and videos into the GHL CRM and marketing ecosystem
  • Build automated content distribution, engagement tracking, and follower growth systems across platforms

The goal: Build and maintain our social media marketing system as a top-of-funnel for reliable, measurable and effective client acquisition.

As you help build these systems, you'll ensure all processes are well-documented.

Who This Is For

You're not looking for a job where you wait for instructions. You're proactive, analyze the situation in front of you, and suggest various possible paths forward.

Skills and Aptitudes

You're looking for a role where you:

  • Own the problem, not just the task
  • Propose new tools, kill inefficient processes, and implement better ones without micromanagement
  • Want your work to matter - to help young adults find direction, mentorship, and life-changing experiences
  • Have experience (or strong aptitude) with social media management tools, GHL, AI agents, and workflow automation

Video editing skills are a plus.

Your Growth Path

  • Phase 1: Execute 3 paid trial ---------- (approx. 10-20 hours total)
  • Phase 2 (Month 1-3): Full-time SMM implementation role
  • Phase 3 (Month 4+): Review for Social Media Team Leader role with increased salary and performance bonuses tied to organizational growth metrics (members served, communities reached, lives impacted)

You'll then help recruit, train, and lead your own Social Media Marketing team.

We measure success by: young adults mentored, adventure experiences delivered, increases in leads entering marketing funnels, and real growth in interactions across all socials.

The Stack You'll Work With

  • Social Media: Buffer-style SMM platform with AI content creation tools
  • CRM & Membership: GoHighLevel (GHL) and GoKollab
  • Operations: Calendar systems and webinar platforms

You don't need to know every tool. You need to be confident with tech, a fast learner, adaptable, and able to think systematically while supporting our community and volunteers to build positive experiences that last.

The Structure

Reporting: Directly to founding directors (easy-going, dedicated to the mission, fun to work with)

Autonomy: Maximum. We use Holacracy, self-management, self-responsibility, distributed authority, no micromanagement

Hours: Flexible within the 4-hour EST overlap window; otherwise async

Start: Immediate

Commitment: 3 paid trial tasks (15-20 hrs) leading to permanent role with benefits if it's a fit

Equipment: Laptop and reliable internet required (yours)

Language: English fluency required

Benefits upon permanent hire:

  • Performance bonuses tied to lead generation metrics (typically $50-$200/month in first year)
  • Access to all required marketing/AI training
  • Flexible PTO policy, Paid Time Off (discussed at hire)

How to Apply

Do not send a generic cover letter. Send us:

1. One specific social media marketing success you've had, or list the social media tools you regularly use and what you've done with them
2. Your availability - when can you start the trial tasks?

We're hiring fast. If you're an empathetic team player who wants to build something meaningful for young people who need our support, apply now.

If you would love the opportunity to help us mentor more young adults through life-changing experiences, we want to hear from you.

Thanks for your time,
Paul
