Wholesale Sourcing VA - Amazon FBA UK/EU Supplier Research
Confidential employer
I run a UK-based Amazon FBA wholesale business and I'm looking for a full-time Sourcing VA. One job: find me suppliers nobody else has.
You are not doing outreach and you are not managing the pipeline - I handle all of that. Your entire focus is research: finding and qualifying UK and EU suppliers, then dropping them into my CRM (a Google Sheet I'll give you access to) with everything I need to contact them myself.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR
- Authorised distributors, wholesalers and brand-direct relationships for brands that already sell on Amazon
- Niche, harder-to-find suppliers - the ones that take real digging
- Suppliers with genuine barriers to entry: high MOQs, trade-only access, application and approval processes, brand authorisation requirements
- Categories: health and beauty, household, grocery, baby, pet, toys, electricals, stationery, sports
WHAT I'M NOT LOOKING FOR
Anything findable in ten minutes on Google. No open-to-all dropship sites, no directories everyone already has, no "wholesale" sites that sell to the public. Low barrier to entry means every other seller is already there, which is no use to me.
WHAT YOU ACTUALLY DO ALL DAY
Find them
- I'll give you my methods and source lists to start with, and I expect you to bring your own on top - if you have a way of finding suppliers that works, use it
- Typical angles: UK and EU trade show exhibitor lists, trade-only directories, brand websites' "stockists" and "where to buy" pages, Companies House, LinkedIn company and people search, EU trade portals
- Reverse-engineer brands already selling on Amazon UK to work out who distributes them here
- Check the CRM first - if it's already in there, move on
Qualify them
- Confirm they are a genuine wholesaler or authorised distributor, not a retailer or dropshipper
- Confirm they trade B2B, and check whether they allow Amazon sellers
- Find the MOQ, the minimum order value and whether there's an application process
- Judge the barrier to entry: is this one everybody already has, or is it hard to get into? Hard to get into is what I want
Get me the contact
- A named human where possible: name, job title, direct email, phone
- Buying, sales or national account managers preferred. Generic ---------- as a last resort
Log them
- One clean row per supplier in the CRM: supplier name, website, email, phone, contact name and role, location, category, brands carried, MOQ, payment terms if listed, how you found them, and any notes on how hard they are to get an account with
- No duplicates, no half-filled rows
Report
- Short daily message: how many new suppliers you added and anything interesting you noticed
- Friday: a short summary of the week and where your best finds came from
TARGETS (we'll refine these together)
- 15+ genuinely new, suppliers per day
- Every row complete and logged the same day you find it
- Zero duplicates
YOU NEED
- Genuinely good at research - you enjoy digging, cross-referencing and finding the thing that isn't on page one
- Good written English for reading UK and EU trade sites and writing clear notes
- Comfortable in Google Sheets
- Organised and consistent - clean data is the whole job
- 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, with reasonable overlap with UK hours
NICE TO HAVE
- Previous Amazon FBA wholesale or online arbitrage sourcing experience
- Familiarity with Keepa, SellerAmp, Jungle Scout or similar
- Experience with EU/UK trade directories or trade show exhibitor lists
- Basic understanding of brand gating and IP restrictions on Amazon
WHAT YOU GET
- PHP 25,000/month to start, paid on time, every time
- Long-term full-time role - I want someone who grows with the business
- Training on my sourcing methods and my CRM
- Performance-based raises and bonuses for suppliers that turn into live accounts
HOW TO APPLY - read carefully, applications that skip this are deleted
Send your application with the subject line: Sourcing VA - [Your Name] - Distributor
In your message include:
1. A short paragraph on your research experience (no generic cover letters)
2. One example of a UK or EU wholesaler or distributor you found for an Amazon-selling brand, with the website, the brand(s) they carry, and one sentence on how you found them and why it isn't obvious
3. The research methods and tools you'd use to find trade-only suppliers
4. Your available hours in UK time
Tell me your favourite UK supermarket brand somewhere in the message so I know you read to the end.
