U.S.-Licensed IP & Trademark Attorney

Ventured Brands is an intellectual property holding and licensing company seeking a U.S.-licensed trademark attorney for ongoing trademark portfolio work.

Responsibilities include trademark clearance review, USPTO applications, office action responses, Statements of Use, Sections 8/9/15 filings, assignments and chain-of-title work, trademark licensing agreements, enforcement strategy, cease-and-desist matters, TTAB support, and general trademark portfolio counseling.

We are looking for someone who understands trademark ownership from the perspective of an IP holding and licensing company—not simply filing applications.

Preferred experience:

• Active member in good standing of a U.S. state bar
• Significant USPTO trademark prosecution experience
• Trademark licensing agreement experience
• Assignments and chain-of-title experience
• Portfolio maintenance and docketing
• Office actions and likelihood-of-confusion analysis
• Experience with distressed, dormant, acquired, or revived brands is a plus
• Comfortable working on a recurring project basis
• Fast turnaround and clear fixed-fee pricing preferred
