Video Editor & Graphic Designer

Position: Video Editor & Graphic Designer
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time
Part-Time: Approximately 20 Hours per Week
Full-Time: Approximately 40 Hours per Week
Company: GDG Media Management
Location: Remote
Compensation: Based on experience and schedule

About the Role

GDG Media Management is looking for a talented and versatile Video Editor & Graphic Designer to join our growing media agency in either a full-time or part-time capacity.

We’re open to finding the right fit based on experience, availability, and skill level. Part-time candidates should be available for approximately 20 hours per week, while full-time candidates should be available for approximately 40 hours per week.

This role is ideal for a creative who understands how to produce content specifically for social media, including both organic content and paid advertising. You’ll work across a variety of clients, industries, and platforms, creating everything from short-form videos and social graphics to performance-focused paid ad creative.

We’re not looking for someone who simply knows how to use design software. We want someone who understands what makes people stop scrolling, pay attention, and take action.

Because we work with clients across many different industries, you’ll need to be comfortable adapting your creative style from one brand to another. One day you might be creating content for a home services company and the next for a professional service, healthcare, retail, hospitality, B2B organization, or another completely different type of business.

For part-time candidates, there is an opportunity to grow into a full-time role based on individual performance, skill development, and the continued growth of the company. We’re looking for someone who can grow with our agency and take on greater creative responsibility over time.

What You’ll Do
Edit engaging short-form video content for social media and digital advertising
Create static graphics, carousels, display ads, and other social media creative
Produce content for Facebook , Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms
Create both organic social content and performance-focused paid advertising creative
Develop paid social creative specifically for Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads, YouTube, and other advertising platforms
Create LinkedIn advertising creative appropriate for B2B audiences, lead generation, professional services, and other business-focused campaigns
Turn raw client footage, photography, testimonials, stock assets, and existing brand materials into polished content
Add captions, motion graphics, transitions, music, sound effects, and other elements that improve engagement
Resize and adapt creative for different platforms, placements, and aspect ratios
Follow client brand guidelines while still bringing fresh creative ideas to the table
Develop multiple creative concepts and variations for advertising campaigns and creative testing
Collaborate with our marketing team to translate campaign concepts, offers, and messaging into compelling visual creative
Incorporate feedback and complete revisions efficiently
Organize project files and maintain consistency across client accounts
Stay current on social media creative trends, advertising formats, and platform best practices
The Type of Content We’re Looking For

A major part of this role is creating content that feels authentic, realistic, and appropriate for the individual brand and platform.

We’re looking for someone who can create polished content without making everything feel overly produced, artificial, templated, or obviously AI-generated.

You should understand how to make content feel native to the platform, whether that’s a:

Direct-response Meta ad
Professional LinkedIn ad
Authentic-looking Reel
TikTok or YouTube Short
Testimonial video
Promotional graphic
Carousel
Organic social media post

You should also recognize that creative designed for a consumer scrolling Instagram may need to look and communicate very differently from creative targeting a business decision-maker on LinkedIn.

AI tools may be used to assist the creative process when appropriate, but AI-generated imagery and video should not replace strong editing and design skills, real photography, real footage, and thoughtful creative execution.

What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in video editing and graphic design
Strong portfolio demonstrating social media content and advertising creative
Experience creating content for multiple brands, clients, or industries
Strong understanding of short-form video editing for Reels, TikTok, Shorts, LinkedIn, and social advertising
Experience creating paid advertising creative for platforms such as Meta and LinkedIn
Ability to create compelling static, carousel, video, and motion-based advertising creative
Strong understanding of composition, typography, branding, color, and visual hierarchy
Ability to make content feel natural and authentic rather than templated or AI-generated
Understanding of how organic social creative differs from paid advertising creative
Understanding of the creative differences between B2C and B2B advertising
Ability to take a creative brief or concept and turn it into finished content with limited direction
Comfortable working on multiple client projects and switching between different brand styles
Strong attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines and reliably manage their agreed-upon weekly schedule
Strong communication and ability to work effectively with a remote team
Preferred Software Experience

Experience with a combination of the following is preferred:

Adobe Premiere Pro
Adobe After Effects
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Illustrator
Canva
CapCut or similar short-form editing tools

We’re less concerned about exactly which tools you use and more concerned about the quality of the finished work.

What Will Make You Stand Out

You’ll be a particularly strong fit if you:

Have worked for a marketing, advertising, or creative agency
Have experience creating paid social ads for Meta and LinkedIn
Have created advertising for both B2C and B2B clients
Understand direct-response creative and how visual creative can influence clicks, leads, and conversions
Can balance strong creative instincts with performance-focused marketing goals
Can take raw footage or a basic concept and turn it into polished content without needing step-by-step direction
Understand how to adapt creative quickly for different clients, industries, platforms, and audiences
Can work efficiently while managing multiple projects and deadlines
Are comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions
Are interested in growing with an agency and taking on more creative responsibility over time
Growth Opportunity

GDG Media Management is continuing to grow, and we want this role to grow with the company.

For the right person, there is an opportunity to take on greater creative ownership, work with larger clients, help shape creative strategy, and potentially move into a creative leadership position as the agency continues to scale.

For candidates starting part-time, strong performance can also create a path toward a full-time position.
