Video Editor for Meta Ads (AI + Real Footage)
Confidential employer
Who we are. A pet health brand. We sell online, direct to the customer, in Mexico and to the Spanish-speaking audience in the United States. Video is what grows the business, so this role isn't a side task: it's a core part of the team.
HOURS
We start with 5 hours a day (25 hrs/week), Monday to Friday.
The first few weeks are about settling in: getting to know our product, our customer, and our standard for what we approve, plus our workflow and our tools.
Once we see the pace and the quality are there — usually within one or two weeks — we move to 7-8 hours a day. We bring it up ourselves; you don't have to ask.
WHAT THIS JOB GIVES YOU
You always know what you need to achieve. We give you the script or the reference ad, the angle, and what we need that week. How you solve it visually is your call. We review and tell you what to change and why — never a "not feeling it" with nothing behind it.
You get paid every week, on time. Weekly payments, no delays, nothing to chase. You know exactly when your money arrives.
Your schedule is yours. Work from wherever you want, at whatever hours suit you. No fixed schedule, no sitting online waiting for messages, no explaining breaks. The only thing we look at is whether the work arrives on time and done right.
Steady hours, every week. We need ads constantly, month after month. This doesn't end after three videos. You can plan your year around these hours.
You're part of the team, not an outside vendor. We talk daily and we reply fast. If something isn't clear, say so before you start editing: we'd rather solve it in two minutes than revise the video three times. No layers, no bureaucracy, no waiting three days for someone to approve something.
WHAT YOU'LL BE EDITING
Most of the time, you'll be working from a reference ad. We send you an ad that's already working and you adapt it to our product and our customer. It's not copying it shot for shot: it's understanding why that ad works and rebuilding it with our footage, our message, and our audience.
You'll also make variations of our own ads that are already winning. Usually changing the hook, the avatar, the voice, the gender of the speaker, the sound, or the CTA — the rest of the ad stays exactly as it is, because that's the part that already works. It's fast, repetitive work, but it demands precision: one careless change can break an ad that was performing.
And other times you'll start from a script of ours and bring it to life yourself. Here the work is visual: what the text says has to be seen on screen. If the voiceover talks about a problem, the viewer sees it; if it mentions the product, it appears. The script is the base, but the visuals are your call.
If an ad needs a clip we don't have, you find it. On social media, in stock libraries, wherever — or you generate it with AI if it doesn't exist. Part of the job is solving with what's available and knowing where to find what's missing. That said: nothing with watermarks, other brands' logos, or recognizable faces of third parties. If you're unsure whether a clip can be used, ask before you build with it.
In all cases you'll work with two kinds of material:
Real footage. Shot footage, UGC, product images, and material we send you. Editing, pacing, captions, on-screen text, and sound.
AI-generated. Realistic avatars, Spanish voiceover, and generated clips, when the ad calls for it.
Plus: syncing Spanish audio precisely and delivering to our Drive, organized and correctly named.
THE STANDARD
Clean beats flashy. With AI, the avatar has to look like a real person filmed on a real phone: consistent face, natural lighting, natural lip sync, zero artifacts. With real footage, it has to feel native to the platform, not like a TV commercial.
Consistency. Ad number forty should be as good as the first one.
TOOLS
- CapCut and/or Adobe Premiere — required
- Higgsfield for AI generation (avatars, clips, voice). If you don't know it, we'll teach you and we pay for it. What you do need is real experience with AI-generated video and the judgment to know when a result works and when it needs redoing.
- Google Drive for delivery
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience editing short-form ads (Meta, TikTok, or Reels)
- Strong command of CapCut and/or Premiere: pacing, captions, on-screen text, sound
- Previous experience with AI-generated video
- Resourceful with material: you know where to find clips and images, and when it's faster to generate them with AI than to search for them
- An ear for Spanish audio: syncing captions precisely and catching when a voice sounds wrong or is out of sync. You don't need to speak Spanish, but you do need to read it and notice when something is off.
- Clear communication in English: you tell us when you start and finish your day, you reply quickly during your working hours, you ask when something isn't clear, and if you're not going to hit the agreed volume in a given week, you say so in advance
- Reliable computer and internet
HOW TO APPLY
1. Start your message with the word AROVEN, so we know you read this far.
2. Send your portfolio.
3. Also send 2-3 links to ads you edited yourself, telling us which parts were yours. If you have examples with real footage and with AI, send one of each.
4. Pick one of those ads and explain why you think it worked well.
5. Tell us what you think matters most in making an ad work.
6. Tell us which AI tools you've worked with.
7. Tell us about your current situation: whether you're working with other clients or companies right now, how many hours per week you can commit to us, and whether you could move to full-time later on.
8. Tell us how long you lasted in your last two editing jobs and why they ended.
Applications that don't follow all eight steps won't be read. Everyone who's a fit will hear from us within the next few days with the next steps.
