Medical Billing VA, Full Time (US Central Time)

I run a medical billing company in Los Angeles. We only
do outpatient rehab, so physical therapy, chiropractic,
acupuncture and occupational therapy. I am looking for one
dedicated full time person to work directly with me.

HOURS
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You arrange most of your
day how you like.

The one fixed part is the calls. US insurance companies only
answer during American business hours, so about three hours of
your day need to fall between 9pm and 6am Manila time. That is
the middle of the night on your end and there is no way around
it, because that is when their phones are open. In November it
shifts by an hour when the US changes clocks.

The other five hours are flexible and can sit wherever suits
you.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
About 1-4 hours a day calling US insurance companies. Claim
status, denials, appeals follow up, and requesting authorizations.
You will call from a US number using a softphone app on your
computer, which I set up and pay for. No phone hardware needed
on your end.

You will not be improvising. I give you a written script for
each type of call. You follow it, and you flag anything the
script does not cover instead of guessing.

The rest of your day is general support work. I will send you a to
do list each day. Data entry, spreadsheet cleanup, tracking
payer paperwork, inbox and calendar, and other admin tasks.

WHAT I NEED FROM YOU
Clear spoken English. You will be talking to American
insurance representatives every day and they will hang up on
anyone hard to understand.
Reliable internet with a backup connection or mobile data.
A quiet place to take calls during your call hours.
Comfort with spreadsheets.
Someone who follows a written script exactly and asks me when
something falls outside it.

NICE TO HAVE, NOT REQUIRED
US medical billing or revenue cycle experience.
Experience with WebPT, AdvancedMD, Waystar or similar.
Familiarity with authorizations, denials and appeals.

I will train the billing side. I care more about your English,
your reliability and your judgment.

WHAT THIS IS
Long term and dedicated. You work for me only, not for a pool
or a queue. $1,500 per month, paid monthly.

HOW TO APPLY
