Indie Game Marketing & Community Assistant

We run an established online RPG and are looking for someone to help grow the game, support the community, and create marketing content.

This is not a generic virtual assistant role. We are specifically looking for someone who understands gaming, online communities, and digital marketing.

What you’ll help with

• Creating marketing content for the game
• Creating short-form videos/Reels/TikToks/Shorts from existing game content
• Managing and growing our Reddit presence
• Helping with Discord and community engagement
• Finding practical ways to attract new players
• Supporting small paid advertising campaigns
• Helping plan social media and content campaigns
• Responding to basic player support/helpdesk tickets
• Collecting player feedback and identifying common issues
• Promoting in-game events and updates

You won’t need to do everything immediately. We’ll start with a small amount of work and expand the role based on your strengths.

Who we’re looking for

Ideally you have experience with some of the following:

• Gaming or indie-game marketing
• Managing gaming communities
• Reddit and Discord
• TikTok, Reels or YouTube Shorts
• Video editing using CapCut, Premiere or similar
• Social media growth
• Paid ads / Meta Ads
• Customer or player support
• Gaming content creation
• Influencer or creator outreach

You should also:

• Have strong written English
• Be comfortable learning an existing online game
• Be able to work independently
• Have good judgment when communicating with players
• Be proactive and suggest ideas rather than needing constant instructions

Hours & Pay

Initially around 5–10 hours per week.

Budget is approximately $5–$10 USD/hour, depending on experience and ability.

There will be a paid trial before we commit to ongoing work.

If things go well, there is potential for more responsibility and additional hours.
