About the Role

About Lynnfield

Lynnfield is a long-term holding company that buys and builds businesses that stand the test of time.

Over 3 million owners of profitable small businesses in the US are expected to retire over the next decade. 70% of them will fail because there is nobody to succeed the owner and there are not enough buyers to capture the opportunity. We are a partner to these owners, giving their companies a permanent home and preserving their legacy.

We fund these acquisitions with capital from family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and institutional credit and equity partners. We are building a community of investors who want exposure to profitable small businesses: people we educate first, build a real relationship with second, and invite into specific opportunities third. This role exists to build and run that engine.

Role Overview

We're seeking an experienced assistant to run the day-to-day machinery of our investor relations and marketing. You'll work directly with our CEO, a serial entrepreneur who built and sold a manufacturing software company to a public acquirer, as the operating layer behind everything investor-facing.

This is a generalist role for someone who is good at several things at once: keeping a CRM immaculate, writing professional outreach, running social media, promoting events, and chasing down the details that make an executive look organized. We're looking for the person who ends up owning whatever needs owning.

You are the system. You grow and nurture our investor community, you keep the investor CRM accurate and current, you run our social presence, you draft and sequence the outreach that goes out under the CEO's name, you get him booked on the right podcasts, webinars, and conference stages, and you make sure every one of those appearances converts into a qualified relationship and a followed-up pipeline.

Our approach is patient and educational. We bring people into a community, teach them how passive investing in small businesses actually works, build genuine relationships over months, and then, once the relationship and the qualification are both real, the CEO discusses specific opportunities. Your job is to make that sequence run reliably at scale.

The right person is organized to the point of being a little obsessive, writes crisp professional English, and is comfortable operating inside the finance world. You'll be reading investor bios, capital provider websites, and conference attendee lists all day and d ---------- who matters.

Primary Responsibilities

Investor CRM & Pipeline Management (20%)

  • Own our investor CRM as the single source of truth, with every contact, firm, check size, mandate, and interaction logged
  • Research and enrich investor records: firm type (family office, RIA, fund of funds, private credit, independent-sponsor-focused equity), stated mandate, ticket size, prior deals, decision maker
  • Administer our investor intake questionnaire, making sure every new community member completes it and that responses stay current in the CRM
  • Build and maintain segmented lists by investor category, thesis fit, relationship stage, and qualification status
  • Run the follow-up cadence so every warm contact gets a touch within the agreed window
  • Maintain conference and event trackers (attendee lists, meeting requests sent, meetings booked, outcomes, next steps)
  • Produce a weekly pipeline report: community growth, new qualified relationships, outreach sent, replies, meetings booked, stage movement

Investor Community Growth & Nurture (15%)

  • Grow the Lynnfield investor community by driving qualified signups from events, appearances, outreach, and referrals
  • Own the welcome and onboarding sequence for new members, including getting the intake questionnaire completed
  • Run a consistent educational content cadence for the community: how passive investing in small businesses works, what makes a business acquirable, how deals get financed, what returns look like and why

-Write and send the regular investor newsletter, covering drafting, scheduling, segmentation, and performance reporting
-Segment communications so the right content reaches the right stage, with education for early members and depth for established relationships
-Track engagement at the individual level and flag warming relationships to the CEO for a personal conversation
-Keep the community content calendar full and shipping on schedule

Social Media & Digital Presence (20%)

  • Own the day-to-day operation of the CEO's LinkedIn and the Lynnfield company page, our primary channels for reaching this audience
  • Build and run the content calendar: plan themes, schedule posts, maintain a consistent publishing rhythm
  • Draft posts in the CEO's voice on business acquisition, small business investing, deal-making, and entrepreneurship, including turning his rough voice notes and bullet points into finished posts
  • Repurpose every podcast appearance, webinar, and talk into clips, quote graphics, carousels, and posts
  • Manage engagement: respond to comments, monitor DMs and triage the ones that matter, engage thoughtfully on target investors' and partners' posts
  • Grow followers and engagement among the audiences that matter: family offices, HNW investors, search fund and independent sponsor communities, business owners
  • Produce simple graphics and short-form video edits for posts and event promotion at a Canva and CapCut level
  • Track what performs and adjust, bringing us data on what the audience responds to

Outreach & Meeting Setting (20%)

  • Draft personalized email and LinkedIn outreach, sent under the CEO's name and from his accounts
  • Frame outreach as an invitation into the investor community and its educational content
  • Build multi-touch sequences that stay personal and individually researched
  • Research each target before writing: recent deals, published theses, mutual connections, conference attendance
  • Identify and prioritize new prospective investors from conference lists, industry databases, LinkedIn, podcasts, and press
  • Manage the reply queue: triage responses, propose times, schedule meetings, send calendar invites and confirmations
  • Prepare a short pre-meeting brief for every scheduled call covering who they are, what they fund, why they should care, and a suggested angle
  • Send post-meeting follow-ups and materials, and log the outcome same-day

Speaking, Podcast & Conference Placement (15%)

  • Build and maintain a target list of podcasts, webinars, conferences, and industry events where our audience shows up: family offices, HNW allocators, search fund and independent sponsor communities
  • Pitch the CEO as a guest or speaker, which means researching the host, writing the pitch, sending it, following up, and tracking every submission
  • Manage conference logistics: registration, speaker applications, CFP deadlines, meeting-scheduler systems, agenda building
  • Maintain the speaker kit: bio variants, headshots, talk titles and abstracts, past appearances, one-sheet
  • Track placements and keep a running library of appearances and links

Event & Webinar Promotion (10%)

  • Promote every webinar, podcast appearance, and speaking slot through registration pages, invitation email s, LinkedIn posts, and reminder sequences
  • Drive registration from our own investor list alongside the host's audience
  • Coordinate with the host on co-promotion, assets, and audience sharing
  • Handle post-event work: recordings, clips, recaps, and, most importantly, routing attendees and registrants into the investor community and the CRM with the right follow-up
  • Track registration, attendance, and meeting conversion for every event
