About the Role

ABOUT THE ROLE

Project PEARLS is a dual-registered nonprofit (U.S. 501(c)(3) and Philippine PCNC-accredited NGO) that grew from a family-led feeding initiative in Ulingan, Tondo into a globally networked organization serving hundreds of scholars and families across five Philippine regions: Tondo, Bocaue (Bulacan), Naic, Cavite, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Siargao. Our work spans five program pillars - Hunger Relief, Education, Healthcare, G.R.O.W. (women's livelihood), and iSTORYA (youth storytelling) - and is backed by partners including ADB SCF, MSF, Tzu Chi, Eric Kayser, the Canva Foundation, LSEG, AXA, and PBSP.

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Strategist / Social Media Manager to help us tell that story more powerfully - growing our donor and volunteer community, strengthening our brand across the U.S. and Philippine arms, and translating our on-theground impact into content that moves people to act.

WHY PROJECT PEARLS

  • Help tell the story of a 16-year-old grassroots organization that has grown into a globally recognized nonprofit.
  • Directly shape how the world sees the families, scholars, and mothers we serve.
  • Build a digital presence from a place of real impact while working closely with our founder and a lean, mission-driven team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Strategy & Content

  • Develop and execute an integrated social media and digital marketing strategy across our core platforms (Meta,

Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube) to grow awareness and engagement for Project PEARLS' mission and five program pillars.

  • Plan, create, and manage a regular content calendar - photos, short-form video, stories, and written content - that captures our programs in the field (Hunger Relief distributions, G.R.O.W. livelihood cohorts, iSTORYA storytelling sessions, clinic days, scholar milestones).
  • Manage day-to-day publishing, community management, and timely responses across our social channels.

Campaigns, Community & Collaboration

  • Support donor and campaign communications, including seasonal fundraising pushes (e.g., our annual Christmas "Adopt a Family" campaign) and partner cause-marketing collaborations.
  • Collaborate remotely with the Founder/CEO, Chief of Staff, and program teams in the Philippines to ensure messaging is accurate and mission-aligned, while also supporting content and campaigns aimed at our U.S. donor base.

Performance, Brand & Innovation

  • Track and report on social and digital performance metrics, using data to refine content strategy and demonstrate ROI to leadership and the Board.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all digital touchpoints, including the website, email , and social presence.
  • Stay current on nonprofit digital marketing trends and platform changes, bringing new ideas to the team.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience & Track Record

  • 3-5+ years of experience in social media strategy, digital marketing, or content marketing - nonprofit or mission driven experience strongly preferred.
  • A portfolio or track record showing measurable growth in audience, engagement, or fundraising results from social/digital campaigns.

----------

  • Strong writing, storytelling, and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms and audiences (donors, volunteers, scholars' families, corporate partners). Tools & Audience
  • Hands-on comfort with content and design tools (e.g., Canva, basic video editing) and social scheduling/analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics).
  • Comfortable creating content that resonates with both Philippine audiences and our U.S.-based donor community, given our dual-registered structure. Work Style & Mission Alignment
  • Reliable home internet setup, own laptop, and a self-starter mindset - you'll work independently and async with a lean, distributed team (Manila, San Francisco, Hawaii) and can juggle multiple concurrent campaigns.
  • Genuine alignment with Project PEARLS' mission and community-first approach.
