AI Product Builder / Internal Tools Developer
Confidential employer
About Us
Bilsmidigt is a Swedish online car dealership based in Stockholm.
We are changing the way people buy and sell used cars by making the process more digital, simple, and convenient. Customers can browse and purchase cars online, have their car delivered to their home, and get a straightforward buying experience without the traditional dealership process.
Behind the scenes, we have a growing team working across sales, purchasing, logistics, workshop, customer service, marketing, and operations.
As we grow, we are building more and more internal tools to make these teams work faster and more efficiently.
That's where you come in.
About the Role
We are looking for a fast, curious, and highly independent AI Product Builder based in the Philippines to join our team full-time.
We build internal tools that help our team work more efficiently. Today, much of the building happens directly through Lovable and Claude, but this has become a bottleneck because too much depends on one person being available to build and iterate on every tool.
We want someone who can take ownership of that work.
You do not need to be a traditional software engineer or have a computer science degree. What matters most is that you are technical enough to understand how things work, comfortable with AI tools, great at problem solving, and able to turn an idea into a working tool quickly.
What You'll Do
You will:
- Build and improve internal tools using Lovable and AI-powered development tools
- Use Claude and other AI tools as part of your everyday workflow
- Take rough business requirements like "We need this process to work like this" and turn them into a working solution
- Ask the right questions when requirements are unclear
- Rapidly prototype, test, iterate, and improve tools
- Troubleshoot issues and fix things when they break
- Test tools from an actual user's perspective before handing them over
- Follow up on tools after launch and improve them based on feedback
- Work closely with our team in Sweden to understand business needs and translate them into practical solutions
How We Work
We value speed, ownership, and iteration.
Five useful iterations in one day are better than spending a week creating the "perfect" plan.
You should be comfortable with:
Build → Test → Get feedback → Improve → Repeat
We don't expect long specifications before starting. We want someone who can look at a problem, understand what we're trying to achieve, build something, and keep improving it.
What We're Looking For
Must have:
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable learning and using AI tools
- Very comfortable experimenting with new technology
- Fast learner who can figure things out independently
- Strong written English
- Able to understand business needs, not just technical requirements
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable working with a team remotely and communicating primarily through written communication
- Willingness to take ownership of a project from idea through implementation and follow-up
Technical experience is a plus:
- Lovable
- Claude / ChatGPT or other AI development tools
- Basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript
- Databases and SQL
- APIs and integrations
- Git/GitHub
- Supabase
- Automation tools such as Make, Zapier, or similar
- Experience building internal tools, dashboards, workflows, or web applications
A formal developer or computer science degree is not required.
If you've built things yourself, learned technology independently, and can show us what you've made, we'd much rather see that than a degree.
The Ideal Person
You might be a good fit if you are the kind of person who:
- Sees a problem and immediately thinks, "I can probably build something for that."
- Enjoys figuring out how new AI tools work
- Doesn't need everything explained step by step
- Can turn a vague idea into a working prototype
- Isn't afraid of breaking something while experimenting
- Learns quickly from mistakes
- Enjoys building practical things rather than writing code just for the sake of writing code
- Takes ownership instead of waiting for someone to tell you what to do next
Working Hours
-This is a full-time, long-term position.
-You will work with a team based in Sweden, so you need to have good overlap with Swedish office hours (CET/CEST).
-We are looking for someone who can be available for regular communication during overlapping working hours.
Compensation
We are open to discussing compensation with exceptional candidates who bring strong relevant experience.
This is intended to be a long-term position, not a short-term freelance project.
Hiring Process
We want to see how you actually work, not just how good your CV looks.
How to Apply
Please send:
1. Your CV
2. A short introduction about yourself
3. Examples of things you have built (These can be websites, internal tools, automations, dashboards, AI projects, personal projects, or anything else you're proud of).
4. Tell us which AI tools you regularly use (For example: Claude, ChatGPT, Lovable, Cursor, Replit, Bolt, etc.)
5. Tell us about one thing you built that you're particularly proud of. (What was the problem, what did you build, and what tools did you use?)
6. Your expected monthly salary in USD
Please include the word "BUILDER" at the beginning of your application so we know you have read the full job post.
We are looking for someone who wants to build, learn, experiment, and grow with us long-term.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
