We are seeking a strategic, solutions-focused Learning and Development (L&D) Advisor to lead a 12-month transformation of our organizational learning framework. This pivotal role is responsible for overhauling legacy learning pathways, addressing capability gaps, and designing and delivering practical, compliance-aligned training across office staff, managers, and frontline cohorts.
Operating within a regulated human services environment, you will establish repeatable learning governance, build role-based onboarding pathways, and embed a sustainable, business-as-usual learning model that translates clinical guidance and operational policies into real-world capability.
Key Responsibilities
Framework Baseline & 12-Month Roadmap: Conduct a comprehensive baseline review of current learning systems, resources, and compliance requirements; create and execute a prioritized 12-month transformation roadmap covering mandatory, risk-based, and leadership capability needs.
Learning-Needs Analysis & Strategy: Analyze capability gaps using audit findings, i ---------- reports, quality actions, and performance data; consult key internal stakeholders (HRBP, Quality, Systems) to recommend targeted learning interventions.
Instructional Design & Content Development: Design practical, audience-appropriate learning resources (facilitator guides, e-learning modules, workbooks, case studies, checklists) grounded in person-centered language and policy compliance with strict version control.
Facilitation & Program Delivery: Facilitate engaging face-to-face and virtual training sessions for managers, office staff, and support workers, covering induction, onboarding, annual mandatory topics, and operational process updates.
Evaluation, Governance & BAU Handover: Establish robust learning governance and approval workflows; track attendance, evaluate workplace skill application, measure risk reduction, and manage complete knowledge transfer prior to contract completion.
Job Requirements
Non-Negotiable Core Requirements
L&D Transformation Experience: Proven experience conducting end-to-end learning-needs analysis, overhauling organizational learning frameworks, and designing adult learning programs.
Instructional Design & Facilitation: Advanced capability in developing digital, virtual, and face-to-face learning assets (presentations, quizzes, scenario-based learning, e-learning modules) and delivering engaging facilitator-led sessions.
Sector Exposure: Experience in disability, human services, healthcare, community services, or a similarly regulated environment is highly desirable.
Systems & Governance: Strong document control, version tracking, and experience aligning learning tools with HR and business systems (e.g., Employment Hero).
