We are seeking a highly analytical and technically capable Inventory Planning & Warehouse Systems AI Engineer to transform how inventory, warehousing, forecasting, and fulfilment operate across our business.

The Role

This is a unique hybrid role combining:

Inventory Planning
Supply Chain Analytics
Warehouse Systems Management
AI & Automation Engineering
Business Systems Integration

You will work closely with management, operations, procurement, warehousing, and technology teams to design intelligent systems that automate planning, improve forecasting accuracy, optimise stock levels, and enhance warehouse performance.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Planning & Forecasting
Develop demand forecasting models using historical sales, seasonality, promotions, and market trends.
Optimise inventory levels across multiple warehouses and sales channels.
Reduce stock-outs, overstocks, and aged inventory.
Build automated replenishment and purchasing recommendations.
Create AI-driven inventory planning dashboards and alerts.
Warehouse Systems & Operations
Maintain and improve Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Streamline receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch workflows.
Improve inventory accuracy and cycle counting processes.
Design warehouse productivity reporting and KPI dashboards.
Identify inefficiencies and automate manual processes.
AI & Automation
Develop AI-powered tools for inventory forecasting and supply chain decision-making.
Build automated workflows using platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot, Claude, OpenAI, Zapier, Make, or similar technologies.
Design predictive models for inventory, purchasing, lead times, and fulfilment performance.
Implement exception-based management systems that proactively identify risks and opportunities.
Systems Integration
Integrate data across platforms including:
ERP systems
Shopify
WMS platforms
Freight systems
Business Intelligence tools
CRM and finance systems
Ensure accurate and reliable data flows between business systems.
Create a single source of truth for inventory and supply chain reporting.
Skills & Experience
Essential
3+ years in inventory planning, supply chain analytics, warehouse systems, or related fields.
Strong analytical and data modelling skills.
Advanced Excel and business intelligence experience.
Experience with inventory forecasting and replenishment planning.
Understanding of warehouse operations and fulfilment processes.
Experience working with ERP, WMS, and eCommerce systems.
Highly Desirable
Experience with AI, machine learning, or predictive analytics.
Knowledge of SQL, Python, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or similar technologies.
Experience integrating business systems and automating workflows.
Exposure to Shopify, MYOB Acumatica, Starshipit, Omnivore, warehouse systems, or freight platforms.
Experience building dashboards and executive reporting tools.
