Video Editor for YouTube Channel (Long Term, Per Video)
Confidential employer
I am starting a YouTube channel about philosophy and history, and I need an editor for the long term.
WHAT THE VIDEOS ARE
Narrated videos, 8 to 14 minutes. One voice, one music track, and a series of old oil paintings on screen. No talking head. No stock footage. No motion graphics.
The look is old film. Heavy grain, scratches, dust, warm and faded colour. It should feel like a recording from decades ago.
I will send reference videos to anyone I shortlist.
WHAT I GIVE YOU
Script, voiceover file, music file, and a written brief with exact specs.
WHAT YOU DO
Find public domain paintings, cut them to the voiceover, apply the grain and colour treatment, mix the audio, export.
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU
- Good English. My brief is detailed and specific and you need to follow it exactly.
- Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut.
- Ability to source images yourself from free museum collections.
- Consistency. Every video must match the last one.
- You tell me before you start if something is unclear, instead of guessing.
PAY
$35 per video. Around 30 videos to start, likely more after that. Steady ongoing work if it goes well.
Before that, I am paying $25 for one short test video, about 3 to 4 minutes, so we can both see if it is a fit. Paid on delivery either way.
TO APPLY
Start your message with the word PAINTING so I know you read this.
Then tell me:
1. What software you use
2. What kind of videos you have edited before
3. How long you think one 12 minute video would take you
I am hiring this week.
