About the Role

We are an established Canadian mortgage company looking for one talented, dependable person to manage three connected areas of our marketing:

1. Meta advertising
2. GoHighLevel funnels and automation
3. LinkedIn and social-media content

This is not a basic virtual-assistant position. We need someone who understands how paid advertising, CRM systems and organic content work together to generate qualified business opportunities and build long-term authority.

ABOUT OUR BUSINESS

Advanced Equity Lending helps homeowners throughout British Columbia access the equity in their homes through equity mortgages and reverse mortgages.

Our ideal prospect is not simply someone who needs money. It is a BC homeowner whose property value, existing mortgage balance, age and circumstances make them a realistic fit for one of our programs.

That distinction is important. We do not measure success by clicks, followers or cheap leads alone. We care about qualified leads, meaningful conversations, booked appointments and genuine mortgage opportunities.

THE THREE PARTS OF THIS ROLE

META ADS AND LEAD GENERATION

You will:

  • Build, manage and improve Facebook and Instagram campaigns
  • Create and test advertising hooks, copy, graphics and short videos
  • Work within Meta’s Housing Special Ad Category requirements
  • Improve lead quality through clear messaging and prequalification
  • Monitor performance without making unnecessary daily changes
  • Identify which campaigns, ads and creative angles produce qualified opportunities
  • Track cost per lead, cost per qualified lead and cost per booked appointment
  • Develop retargeting and creative-testing strategies when appropriate
  • Explain performance and recommendations in clear, uncomplicated language

GOHIGHLEVEL

You will:

  • Build and improve landing pages, surveys, forms and booking pages
  • Create and maintain pipelines, workflows, tags and custom fields
  • Develop appropriate email and SMS follow-up sequences
  • Ensure Meta leads enter GHL correctly and are tracked by source
  • Help organize leads by New, Contacted, Qualified, Not Qualified, Booked and Closed
  • Identify where leads are being lost or failing to respond
  • Test integrations and troubleshoot problems
  • Maintain clean, accurate CRM data
  • Document the systems and workflows you build

LINKEDIN AND SOCIAL MEDIA

A meaningful part of this position will be helping the company owner build a distinctive and trusted personal brand, particularly on LinkedIn.

The owner provides the expertise, opinions, raw ideas and much of the core messaging. Your job will be to help transform those ideas into polished content while preserving his natural voice.

You will:

  • Turn raw ideas, notes and videos into strong LinkedIn posts
  • Create LinkedIn carousels, graphics and other visual content
  • ---------- content for Facebook , Instagram and TikTok
  • Edit short-form videos, add captions and prepare thumbnails
  • Schedule and publish approved content consistently
  • Understand how content should change between LinkedIn, Facebook , Instagram and TikTok
  • Research relevant Canadian mortgage, housing and financial topics
  • Suggest timely content opportunities and creative angles
  • Review performance and identify which subjects, hooks and formats resonate
  • Avoid generic, overly polished or obviously AI-written content

Using AI tools is permitted and encouraged when they improve productivity. However, the final work must sound natural, specific and human. It must reflect the owner’s actual voice—not the voice of an AI writing assistant.

HOW THE 20 HOURS WILL BE USED

This is a genuine 20-hour-per-week working role, not a retainer for occasional availability.

The first few weeks will involve more time reviewing and improving the existing Meta campaigns, GHL funnels, tracking and workflows.

After the initial setup, weekly responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and improving campaigns
  • Developing fresh advertising creative
  • Creating and repurposing social-media content
  • Improving funnels and follow-up systems
  • Maintaining the CRM and tracking
  • Reporting results and recommending next steps
  • Documenting completed work

We will agree on clear weekly priorities and deliverables. We want someone who uses the hours productively and brings forward useful ideas—not someone who waits for a list of small tasks every day.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven hands-on Meta Ads experience
  • Strong working knowledge of GoHighLevel
  • Excellent written English
  • Strong LinkedIn content-writing ability
  • Experience creating graphics, carousels and short-form videos
  • Proficiency with tools such as Canva, CapCut, Photoshop or Premiere Pro
  • Understanding of lead generation for service businesses
  • Ability to evaluate lead quality rather than CPL alone
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Accurate reporting and respect for data
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and revising creative work
  • Experience with mortgages, real estate, financial services or regulated industries is an advantage
  • Experience with Meta’s Housing Special Ad Category is a strong advantage

This is a long-term opportunity beginning at 20 hours per week. Compensation is $800–$1,200 USD per month, based on demonstrated experience and ability.

Most hours are flexible, but you must be available for at least two hours of overlap with Vancouver, Canada business hours on agreed-upon days.

HOW TO APPLY

Put the exact words “Performance meets personality” in either your subject line or the first line of your application.

Then provide all of the following:

1. A short introduction explaining why your combination of Meta Ads, GoHighLevel and social-media experience fits this particular role.

2. A link to a 60–90 second Loom or similar video introducing yourself. Please speak naturally rather than reading your written application.

3. One Meta campaign you personally managed. Include:

  • Type of business
  • Approximate advertising spend
  • Total leads
  • Cost per lead
  • Qualified leads, if tracked
  • Booked appointments or sales, if tracked
  • What you personally created, managed and improved

You may hide confidential client information.

4. One GoHighLevel funnel, workflow or automation you personally built. Explain the business problem, what you built and the result.

5. Three examples of LinkedIn posts you personally wrote or substantially developed.

6. Examples of social-media graphics, carousels and short-form videos you personally created.

7. One business or professional account you helped grow. Tell us the starting point, result and your specific contribution. Do not take credit for work performed by an entire team unless you clearly explain your individual role.

8. Answer this question:

If a Meta campaign generated inexpensive leads but most applicants did not have enough home equity to qualify, what would you examine and change first?

9. Complete this short writing exercise:

Turn the following raw thought into a natural LinkedIn post of no more than 120 words:

“A homeowner can own a million-dollar home and still be under financial pressure. Equity only helps when there is a sensible way to access it.”

The post should sound like an experienced mortgage professional sharing an honest observation—not like an advertisement.

10. Tell us:

  • Your current weekly availability
  • Your required monthly compensation for 20 hours per week
  • What hours you can overlap with Vancouver business hours
  • Whether you currently serve other clients

Please answer every item. Generic applications, unsupported claims and applications missing the requested work examples will not be considered.

Shortlisted applicants will complete the same small paid assessment before a final hiring decision is made.

We are looking for one smart, honest and capable person who wants to understand the business, take ownership of the work and become an important long-term member of it.
