About LazyJobber

LazyJobber manages Google Business Profiles for local service businesses, including UK tradespeople (plumbers, electricians, HVAC engineers, builders, roofers) and US car detailers. We optimise listings, handle reviews, and work to improve clients' local map rankings. This role supports that work directly.

The Role
Part-time, remote, 12–25 hrs/week, reviewed after a paid trial (see below). As the business grows hours will grow too. We expect you to start around the 12 hrs/week mark or just below that based on work, then over time (and with business growth) rise up steadily as you take on more client work.

What you'll do

  • Manage and optimise Google Business Profiles across multiple client accounts: business info accuracy, categories/services, photos, posts, and Q&A
  • Respond to Google reviews on behalf of clients, matching each client's tone and brand voice, and handling both glowing reviews and complaints professionally
  • Monitor client profiles regularly and flag new reviews promptly
  • Handle local SEO upkeep: NAP consistency checks, citation building/cleanup, spot-checking competitor GBPs
  • Assist with keyword research and reporting using data and tools we provide
  • Highlight key areas which competitors are doing well and how we can catchup
  • Follow our SOPs/checklists for GBP work and log completed tasks (Trello/Sheets/Slack)
  • Flag issues or opportunities proactively rather than waiting to be asked

What we're looking for

  • Excellent written English: clear, warm, and natural. Copy that sounds robotic or obviously AI-generated is an instant no for this role, since it goes out under a real business's name.
  • Some hands-on experience managing Google Business Profiles (agency, freelance, or in-house). Strong generalist VAs with adjacent experience will still be considered if they test well.
  • Comfortable running multiple client accounts at once without close supervision
  • Reliable internet with a backup plan for outages
  • Able to commit 15–25 hrs/week with some overlap for team check-ins across UK and US working hours
  • Detail-oriented: mistakes here are public and attached to a real business's name

Nice to have
Familiarity with local SEO tools (BrightLocal, Local Falcon, GMB Everywhere, or similar)
Understanding of citations, NAP consistency, and how local map/3-pack rankings work
Experience working with UK, US, or Australian client bases
Agency or white-label experience managing SEO for multiple clients at once

Hours & pay
12hrs/week to start, flexible day-to-day, with agreed overlap hours for team communication
$4-5/hr USD to start, paid via Wise/Payoneer

Rate reviewed after a paid trial task and again after a 30-day trial period, based on performance
