About the Role

About the Role
We're a growing CPG (consumer packaged goods) food brand selling a specialty baking/dessert ingredient, sold direct-to-consumer online, in national retail stores, and on Amazon. We're looking for an experienced Amazon Account & PPC Specialist to take over day-to-day management of our Amazon business — currently handled by an outside agency — and run it directly, with room to also support advertising on other retail platforms (e.g., Instacart) as that grows. Full company name and brand details will be shared directly with the candidate we move forward with.

This role is focused on the day-to-day management and optimization of Amazon: PPC advertising, marketplace operations, profitability tracking, and performance analysis. We're looking for someone who has previously managed Amazon accounts for CPG, food, or beverage brands, speaks the language fluently, and can work independently to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive results.

One thing to know before you apply: AI-powered PPC, bid, and analytics tools are fully expected here — that's normal for this work. But our product listing copy, A+ Content, and Storefront are customer-facing, so final versions of those need to be human-edited and true to our actual brand voice, not shipped as raw AI output. See "How we use AI" below.

Work Structure & Requirements

  • Location: Remote
  • Schedule: Part-time, approximately 10 hours/week
  • Time zone: Needs meaningful overlap with US Eastern (EST) business hours for coordination — please note your available hours relative to EST when you apply
  • Compensation: $7USD/hour to start, with room to grow based on experience and results

What you'll do:

Amazon PPC & Performance

  • Own day-to-day management and optimization of Amazon PPC campaigns across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and other relevant ad formats
  • Conduct keyword research, search-term analysis, and competitor research
  • Optimize bids, budgets, targeting, and campaign structures
  • Launch and manage new campaigns and testing initiatives
  • Monitor ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, CPC, conversion, and overall sales performance
  • Track profitability at the ASIN/SKU level, including COGS and FBA fees
  • Identify underperforming areas and proactively recommend improvements
  • Provide clear, direct weekly reporting on performance, learnings, and recommended next steps

P&L & Profitability Management

  • Maintain a clear view of Amazon P&L — revenue, ad spend, FBA fees, COGS, and overall profitability
  • Proactively flag margin risks and identify opportunities to improve profitability
  • Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations

Listing Optimization & Content

  • Review and optimize Amazon product listings — titles, bullet points, imagery, and product content
  • Collaborate on A+ Content, video, and creative assets (final customer-facing copy/content is human-reviewed — see "How we use AI" below)
  • Maintain and improve our Amazon Storefront
  • Keep listings accurate, conversion-focused, and brand-aligned
  • Monitor competitor activity and category trends

Retail Media (Other Platforms)

  • Support advertising on other relevant retail media platforms as our presence there grows (e.g., Instacart)
  • Apply Amazon PPC learnings and best practices across those platforms
  • Monitor spend and performance across channels and flag optimization opportunities

Account Health & Operations

  • Monitor account health and proactively flag potential issues
  • Raise and manage Amazon Seller Support cases through to resolution
  • Troubleshoot listing, inventory, fulfillment, and account-related issues
  • Support inventory/logistics coordination to help maintain product availability

How we use AI:
We're fully on board with AI-powered tools for PPC bidding, keyword/competitor research, and performance analytics — use whatever makes you faster and sharper at this job. The one place we draw a line is customer-facing content: final product listing copy, A+ Content, and Storefront pages should be human-written or human-edited to sound like us, not raw AI output shipped as-is.

What we're looking for:

  • 2+ years of hands-on Amazon marketplace and Amazon PPC experience, ideally managing accounts for CPG, food, or beverage brands — you must provide examples demonstrating measurable results (e.g., ACOS, ROAS, or profitability improvements)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and track Amazon P&L, including profitability at the ASIN/SKU level, COGS, and FBA fees
  • Deep fluency with Amazon Seller Central, Amazon Ads, FBA operations, listing optimization, and resolving Seller Support cases
  • Clear, direct, concise communicator — comfortable giving straight answers and actionable weekly reports rather than long, indirect updates
  • Comfortable analyzing data and turning it into specific, prioritized recommendations
  • Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on Instacart Ads experience (campaign setup, optimization, performance management)
  • Meta Ads experience
  • Familiarity with Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or similar tools
  • Comfortable with Google Workspace and Slack

To apply:
Please send your resume, 2–3 examples of measurable Amazon results you've driven (ACOS/ROAS/profitability improvements), and a short video introduction. Applications without examples of previous work will not be considered.
