Dental Patient Coordinator (Open Dental) – Outbound Scheduling + Insurance Breakdowns – US Practice

About us
We are a growing group of family dental practices in USA. We are taking over a practice where patients have not been called or scheduled properly, and we need someone to fix that. You will be the voice that brings patients back onto the schedule.

What you will do

-Call patients from a list (overdue hygiene, unscheduled treatment, no-shows) and get them scheduled
-Build appointments in Open Dental with the correct procedure codes for that patient
-Check the patient's history before booking: when was their last comprehensive exam, what type of cleaning they've had (prophy vs. perio maintenance vs. scaling & root planing), and when their last x-rays were taken
-Use the insurance breakdown we provide to confirm the patient is eligible for the visit (frequency limits, exam/x-ray/cleaning coverage) before you book
-Respond to patients who booked online, confirming their appointment is set up correctly
-Keep clean notes in Open Dental on every contact attempt

Requirements

-Fluent, clear, confident spoken English – you will be on the phone with American patients
-Hands-on experience with Open Dental
-Understanding of dental procedure codes (D0120, D0150, D1110, D4910, D4341/4342, D0274, etc.) and the difference between cleaning types
-Experience reading dental insurance breakdowns
-Quiet workspace, reliable internet, headset, computer that can run remote desktop
-Available Monday–Friday, US Eastern time

Nice to have

Prior US dental front-desk or dental call-center experience
Experience with RingCentral or Mango
Treatment plan presentation experience
