FEMALE Performance Video Editor — Paid Social
Confidential employer
D2C Jewelry · Remote · Independent Contractor · GMT+8 Overlap Required
Who we are
We are a fast-growing demi-fine jewelry brand creating earrings women can actually live in.
Our hero product, the Stay Close Hoop, is a backless hoop designed for comfortable, uninterrupted wear. We've served 175,000+ customers across the US, UK, Australia, Canada and Europe, backed by 7,000+ five-star reviews.
We're looking for a female video editor with exceptional taste in content made for women to join our creative team.
The role
- You'll work alongside a Creative Strategist to turn briefs into high-performing Meta and TikTok ads.
- This role sits at the intersection of aesthetic taste and performance creative.
- You need to understand the visual world our female customer lives in — jewelry, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, GRWM and creator content — while also knowing how to make an ad hook, hold attention and convert.
- We're not looking for cinematic brand films.
- We're looking for beautiful ads that sell.
What you'll do
Edit paid social ads at volume.
Turn structured creative briefs into compelling short-form ads using creator/UGC footage, product footage, testimonials, photography and other assets.
Make jewelry desirable.
Have a strong eye for product close-ups, ear stacks, styling, composition, typography, music and shot selection. You should instinctively know which shot makes someone think: I want those earrings.
Create content native to women's feeds.
Your work should feel at home alongside the jewelry, beauty, fashion and lifestyle content women already consume on TikTok and Instagram — not like a traditional advertisement dropped into their feed.
Build variants of winners.
Create new hooks, openings, pacing, overlays, product reveals, testimonials and CTAs around proven concepts so we can systematically find what improves performance.
Turn raw UGC into great ads.
Find the strongest hooks, reactions, product moments and soundbites from creator footage and restructure them into ads that feel natural while still selling.
Use AI where useful.
AI isn't the focus of the role, but you should be comfortable using modern image/video and voice tools when they can efficiently fill a footage gap or improve an edit.
Learn from performance.
You'll see how your ads perform and should understand metrics like hook rate, hold rate, CTR and CPA well enough to form a point of view on what worked and what to test next.
What we're looking for
- Exceptional female-focused aesthetic taste. Your portfolio must demonstrate strong TikTok or Instagram content created for female audiences. Jewelry, beauty, fashion and lifestyle experience is highly relevant.
- Paid social experience. You've edited performance ads for a D2C/e-commerce brand or performance agency and understand that creative ultimately gets judged by results.
- Strong short-form instincts. You understand hooks, retention, pacing, mobile-first typography, product reveals, UGC storytelling and direct-response structure.
- Speed. You can produce and iterate quickly without becoming sloppy. You know which details affect performance and which don't.
- Ownership. You don't blindly execute briefs. If a hook isn't working visually or the footage isn't supporting the concept, you flag it and propose a solution
- Organization. You're comfortable managing multiple concepts and variants with clean naming, version control and ClickUp handoffs.
We're tool-agnostic — Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci, CapCut or similar are all fine.
Nice to have: jewelry/beauty/fashion experience, motion graphics, TikTok Spark Ads, AI-assisted production and localization experience.
Who you'll work with
- You'll work inside an ARDANT creative pod, led by a Creative Strategist and potentially alongside other Video Editors.
The strategist owns the audience, angle and persuasion strategy.
- You own making it visually compelling enough to stop someone and clear enough to sell.
Who this isn't for
- This isn't the right role if your strongest work is long-form brand films, you don't regularly consume female-focused TikTok/Instagram content, you need weeks to finish an asset, or you dislike creating multiple iterations of the same concept.
At ARDANT, creative gets tested quickly.
We care less about defending an edit and more about finding the edit that wins.
Logistics
Engagement: Independent contractor
Location: Fully remote
Timezone: Meaningful GMT+8 overlap required
Compensation: Monthly fee + performance bonus
Tools: Required software/AI credits covered by ARDANT
How to apply
Keep it simple. Send us:
1. Your portfolio
Show us your best TikTok/Instagram work, especially content created for female audiences in jewelry, beauty, fashion or lifestyle.
2. Your best 3 paid social ads
For each, tell us in one or two sentences what you edited and, if available, how it performed.
3. One sentence:
What's one thing most video editors get wrong when creating ads for women?
That's it.
Paid test
Shortlisted candidates will complete a paid ARDANT editing test using a real brief, raw creator footage and product assets.
We'll evaluate:
Aesthetic Taste · Hook Execution · Product Presentation · Pacing · Performance Thinking · Speed
We're not looking for the fanciest editor.
We're looking for someone who can consistently turn an ARDANT brief into an ad women want to watch and buy from.
