About the Role

I'm looking for a skilled, reliable video editor to turn raw footage into engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and long-form YouTube videos. This role starts part-time, with the opportunity to grow into full-time work as our content needs expand and we build a strong working relationship.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Edit short-form videos with strong hooks, clear storytelling, and engaging pacing.
  • Edit long-form YouTube content that flows naturally and keeps viewers engaged.
  • Color correct and color grade footage, including matching shots, balancing exposure and white balance, and creating a consistent look with natural skin tones.
  • Add captions, B-roll, music, sound effects, and simple graphics where they improve the video.
  • Clean up dialogue and balance audio levels.
  • Adapt content for vertical and horizontal formats, and export files ready for each platform.
  • Keep project files organized, communicate progress, meet agreed deadlines, and incorporate feedback.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR

  • Proficiency in at least one of these editors: Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. You do not need to use all three.
  • A portfolio showing both short-form social content and long-form YouTube editing.
  • Solid color correction and grading skills beyond simply applying a preset or LUT.
  • A good eye for detail, pacing, music selection, and storytelling.
  • Clear communication, reliability, and the ability to work independently.
  • A computer capable of handling video editing and a reliable internet connection for transferring footage.

HOW TO APPLY
Please apply through OnlineJobs.ph and include:
1. A brief introduction and the editing software you use most.
2. Links to 2-3 relevant samples, including a Reel or Short and a long-form YouTube video. Explain your role in each.
3. A before-and-after color grading example, if available, or a brief explanation of your grading work in one of your samples.
4. Your preferred hourly rate, weekly availability, and earliest start date.
5. Your typical turnaround time for a 30-60 second short and an 8-15 minute YouTube video, noting any assumptions about the footage and editing complexity.

I'm looking for someone who takes pride in their work and is interested in building an ongoing working relationship.
