About the Role
Vital Veterans Consultants (VVC) is a U.S.-based, veteran-owned company that helps veterans with their benefits and claims.
We are looking for a Veteran Claims Rebuttals Specialist who enjoys researching, writing, reviewing documents, and helping a team create accurate and well-organized claim responses.
You don't have to be an expert in VA claims to apply. VA claims or other claims experience is a plus, but we are also interested in candidates with strong writing, research, documentation, and customer service skills who are willing to learn.
What You’ll Do
- Research information related to veteran claims and VA requirements.
- Review claim decisions, medical documents, statements, and other records.
- Help identify important information, errors, or missing details.
- Write and organize rebuttals, statements, and supporting documents.
- Proofread documents to make sure they are clear, accurate, and complete.
- Keep case files and documentation organized.
- Work with the team to review cases and improve documents.
- Communicate professionally with team members and veterans when needed.
- Learn and follow VVC's processes, standards, and guidelines.

You don't need to have all of these, but experience in any of the following is an advantage:
- VA claims or VA appeals
- Insurance or other types of claims
- Customer service
- Documentation or administrative work
- Legal or medical documentation
- Research or professional writing
- Working with U.S.-based clients
Work Expectations
- Work remotely during your assigned schedule.
- Camera-on Zoom attendance is required during the work shift, except during approved breaks and lunch.
- Camera should show you from the shoulders up.
- Work attire should include red, blue, white, or black.
- You must be fully available and focused during your scheduled work hours.
- No other employment or freelance work is allowed during your assigned shift.
- Must be flexible and willing to work weekends when scheduled.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable work-from-home setup are required.
Additional Terms
1. Daily Zoom attendance is required with camera turned on.
2. Attire must include red, blue, white, or black.
3. Camera view must be shoulders up.
4. No other employment or freelance work is permitted during assigned work hours.
5. Applicants must be fully available and dedicated during their scheduled shift.
