PR & Communications Executive
Confidential employer
Hi there!
I run a small communications consultancy working with corporate and consumer brands, and I’m looking for an experienced PR & Communications Executive to work alongside me across client projects.
This is a hands-on role covering communications, content and project management. I’m looking for someone who already has PR or communications experience, ideally within an agency or in-house communications team, so this isn’t a role where I’ll be teaching the basics from scratch.
You don’t need to be senior, but you do need to understand the work. If I give you a client brief, background documents or even a slightly chaotic set of notes, I’d like you to be able to make sense of them, do the research, ask the right questions and get a strong first draft moving.
Working hours: 2–10 PM Manila time, Monday–Friday
You’ll need to be consistently available during these hours as you’ll be working alongside me on active client projects.
What You’ll Help Me With
PR & Content
- Drafting press releases, LinkedIn posts, internal communications, articles and other content
- Researching topics, companies, industries, media and potential story angles
- Turning briefs, notes and background materials into strong first drafts
- Proofreading and editing content
- Preparing briefing documents and other communications materials
- Supporting media relations activity and coordinating with external partners where needed
Project Management
- Keeping track of multiple client projects, deadlines and deliverables
- Maintaining project trackers and content calendars
- Following up on outstanding actions, feedback and approvals
- Keeping briefs, files and working documents organised
- Helping coordinate designers, suppliers and other partners
- Spotting what needs to happen next and helping keep projects moving
Presentations & General Support
- Creating and polishing PowerPoint and Canva presentations
- Supporting research and new-business proposals
- Helping prepare reports, meeting notes and other client materials
- General communications and project support when needed
You’ll Do Well in This Role If You
- Have at least 2 years of hands-on PR, communications, content or agency experience
- Have excellent written and spoken English
- Can write clear, natural copy and adapt your writing for different audiences
- Understand how press releases, corporate communications and social content work
- Are highly organised and comfortable managing several deadlines at once
- Have strong attention to detail
- Can work independently and use good judgement
- Ask questions when something isn’t clear
- Take initiative rather than waiting to be told every individual step
- Are reliable and follow through on what you say you’ll do
You should also be comfortable using AI tools. I use them myself, so I have no problem with AI being part of your workflow. But I do need someone who can think, research, write and edit independently rather than simply submitting AI-generated copy.
Bonus Points
- PR agency experience
- Corporate communications experience
- Experience working with international brands
- Media relations experience
- Strong PowerPoint or Canva skills
- Experience managing multiple client accounts or projects
What You Can Expect
- Direct and supportive collaboration
- Interesting work across different clients and industries
- The opportunity to take on more ownership as we build trust
- Steady, long-term work with room to grow
- Competitive pay based on experience
I’m hoping to find someone who can become a genuine long-term support to the business. Over time, I’d like to be able to hand over increasingly substantial pieces of work and trust you to get them moving.
How to Apply
Please send:
- A short introduction telling me about your PR/communications experience
- Your CV or LinkedIn profile
- 2–3 examples of content you have personally written, ideally including a press release or corporate communications piece
- Your expected monthly salary in USD
- Confirmation that you can consistently work 2–10 PM Manila time, Monday–Friday
Please use this exact subject line:
“Green + [your expected monthly salary in USD] + [Your Name]”
Example: “Green + $500 + Ana Dela Cruz”
And finally, tell me briefly about a time you were given an unclear or incomplete communications brief. How did you approach it and what did you do next?
Please write this part in your own words. I’m much more interested in how you think than in a perfectly polished answer.
