Shopify Store Localization Specialist & Web Designer
Full-Time Remote | $500 USD/Month Starting Salary | Fox Ecom LLC
About Us
Fox Ecom LLC is a US company growing an international e-commerce business in men’s hair care. Our brand, Depura, launched in Italy, and we are now expanding into markets worldwide.
We are looking for someone who can transform our existing Shopify store into a fully localized, launch-ready store for each new market. You will handle translation, visual assets, design adjustments, store configuration, app setup, testing, and final quality checks.
This position starts at junior-level compensation, with the opportunity to progress into a senior role over the coming months based on your performance, independence, and ability to take on greater responsibility.
Your Main Responsibility
Complete one fully localized, launch-ready Shopify store per working day, using our existing store, established design, and supplied assets as your starting point.
You will deliver a finished store that does not require our executives or another team member to complete the setup, correct avoidable mistakes, or finish outstanding work.
What You Will Do
1. Translate and Localize the Entire Store
Translate product descriptions, headlines, buttons, banners, FAQs, announcements, forms, and all other customer-facing content.
Use DeepL, supported by AI tools and careful proofreading, to produce natural translations that preserve the original meaning and marketing message.
Maintain consistent terminology, product names, tone, formatting, and brand identity.
Localize customer email s, order notifications, and app-generated content, checking the complete shopping journey for untranslated text.
2. Translate and Adapt Images Using AI
Use AI image-generation and editing tools to localize infographics, promotional graphics, badges, product packaging text, and other visual assets.
Preserve the original composition, colors, branding, product appearance, and design quality.
Ensure translated text is accurate, sharp, readable, and correctly positioned, including text on bottles and packaging.
Correct distorted letters, visual artifacts, and layout problems. Prepare images in suitable dimensions and formats, balancing quality with loading speed.
3. Configure Shopify for Each Market
Set up and verify products, collections, variants, pricing, currencies, product handles, and internal links.
Configure markets, languages, domains, shipping zones, shipping rates, delivery information, payment methods, and checkout settings.
Apply company-provided requirements for taxes, duties, and other market-specific settings.
Build and check navigation menus, footer links, contact pages, and customer support details.
Adapt shipping, returns, refunds, privacy, terms, and guarantee pages using approved company policies and business information.
Localize page titles, meta descriptions, and image alt text where applicable.
4. Configure and Localize Shopify Apps
Kaching: Configure bundles, quantity discounts, and promotional offers. Translate customer-facing text and verify product selection, pricing, and discount behavior across product pages, the cart, and checkout.
Track123: Configure and localize the order-tracking page, tracking messages, and available notifications. Add tracking links to navigation and the footer, and test the customer experience.
---------- : Configure and localize review widgets, star-rating badges, review forms, and review-request email s. Translate reviews faithfully, prepare and validate import CSVs, map reviews to the correct destination-store products, and resolve import or display errors.
Other apps: Configure and localize any additional tools used for upsells, cart functionality, email marketing, customer support, or other store features.
Check app integrations, language, currency display, and appearance on desktop and mobile. Identify required subscriptions or access early.
5. Test and Deliver the Finished Store
Review the entire store on desktop and mobile, checking typography, spacing, image quality, and responsive behavior.
Test menus, links, product options, variants, add-to-cart, bundles, discounts, shipping calculations, tracking, and checkout.
Verify payment configuration and complete a test purchase using the appropriate test setup.
Submit a concise handover with the store link, completed checks, and any outstanding issues.
What “Completed” Means
A store is complete when all required content and images are localized, Shopify settings are correct, required apps are configured, and the shopping journey has been tested successfully. There should be no unfinished sections, broken links, incorrect product associations, or unresolved issues that prevent launch.
You must identify missing information or access early, clearly request what you need, and follow each issue through to resolution. We expect independent execution without constant reminders or supervision.
Salary, Schedule and Daily Target
Starting salary: $500 USD per month. Schedule: eight scheduled working hours per day, five days per week. Daily target: one completed, quality-checked Shopify store.
Once your assigned store meets all completion criteria and you submit your handover, you may finish your working day, even if you have worked fewer than eight hours.
If you anticipate missing the deadline, notify management before the end of your scheduled working hours. Explain the blocker, what remains, and your estimated completion time. A short extension can be agreed where necessary. Finishing early is welcome, provided the required quality standard is met.
Required Experience and Skills
At least one year of hands-on experience building, managing, or localizing Shopify stores.
Strong working knowledge of Shopify themes, products, markets, languages, shipping, navigation, policies, payments, and checkout.
Practical experience with DeepL and AI tools, particularly translation, image generation, and image editing.
Experience configuring Kaching, Track123, ---------- , or comparable Shopify apps, including troubleshooting integrations and review imports.
A good eye for web design, typography, visual consistency, and mobile usability.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic Liquid sufficient to resolve common theme and layout issues.
Clear written English, reliable internet, a suitable computer, and the ability to manage your workload independently.
Attitude and Growth
We want someone open-minded, motivated to grow, and willing to discuss ideas, ask questions, and accept constructive feedback. You should enjoy learning new tools, improving your workflow, and taking ownership of results.
Complete transparency is essential. Report mistakes, delays, uncertainties, and blockers promptly. Never hide an issue or mark incomplete work as finished. Be clear about what you have completed, what you have checked, and what still needs attention.
As you demonstrate reliable execution and stronger technical skills, you may progress into a senior role helping manage Depura’s Shopify stores worldwide. Future responsibilities may include overseeing multiple stores, improving our localization processes, and helping coordinate additional team members.
