About the Role

Our media agency helps business owners and leaders grow their online presence. We strategize, create, and manage videos, graphics, and social media content for our clients. Because every client is different, each piece of content should match their unique voice, style, and brand.

We are looking for a creative, dependable, and efficient Video Editor & Graphic Designer to join our growing team. This is a remote, long-term contract opportunity paid on a per-project basis. We want someone who is highly skilled and has experience editing long-form and short-term video. Each week we will need long-form and short-form videos edited, and graphics created for our clients.

This role is ideal for someone who produces excellent work, follows instructions carefully, responds quickly, meets deadlines consistently, and communicates proactively. We are looking for someone who is truly on top of their assignments and can deliver polished first drafts with strong attention to detail. Our goal is not to repeatedly request revisions for avoidable mistakes, missed instructions, or quality issues. We care about creativity, but excellence, reliability, ownership, and communication are equally important.

Responsibilities

  • You will help create content for multiple client brands, including:
  • Short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
  • Long-form YouTube videos and podcast episodes
  • B-roll and storytelling-style videos
  • Talking-head videos
  • Trend-based and educational content
  • Social media carousels and static graphics
  • YouTube thumbnails
  • Branded graphics and other supporting social assets
  • Revisions based on internal or client feedback

You will also be expected to:

  • Review all instructions, references, and brand guidelines before editing
  • Keep each client’s editing style distinct and consistent
  • Add accurate captions, music, transitions, graphics, and relevant B-roll
  • Organize and upload completed files correctly
  • Keep project statuses updated in Notion
  • Communicate immediately if footage, instructions, or other resources are missing
  • Notify the team before a deadline if an assignment may be delayed
  • Complete revisions promptly and apply previous feedback to future work

The ideal candidate:

  • Has strong short-form and long-form video-editing experience
  • Has great graphic-design experience
  • Understands pacing, storytelling, hooks, retention, and current social media editing styles
  • Pays close attention to spelling, captions, formatting, and client instructions
  • Is highly organized and able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Communicates clearly and proactively
  • Responds quickly and acknowledges new assignments or feedback promptly
  • Takes ownership without needing repeated reminders
  • Consistently delivers excellent, polished first drafts that minimize unnecessary revision requests
  • Checks their own work carefully before submitting it
  • Is receptive to feedback, completes revisions efficiently, and applies that feedback to future work
  • Stays ahead of deadlines and keeps the team informed without needing to be chased
  • Has reliable internet, sufficient storage, and the equipment needed to edit consistently
  • Is interested in a stable, long-term position with room to grow

Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, After Effects, CapCut, Canva, Photoshop, or similar editing and design software is preferred.

Experience working with personal brands, founders, podcasts, or social media agencies is a plus.

Turnaround Expectations

Unless otherwise agreed upon:

  • Short-form first drafts should generally be completed within 48 hours
  • Long-form first drafts should generally be completed within 3–5 business days
  • Standard revisions should be completed within one business day
  • Any potential delay must be communicated before the deadline, along with a revised delivery time
  • Applicants should have the capacity to complete multiple short-form videos each week while also supporting long-form and graphic-design assignments.

Compensation

This is a contract role paid per completed deliverable.

Starting rates:

  • $15 per short-form video
  • $40 per long-form video
  • Graphic-design rates will be agreed upon based on the type and complexity of the asset

There is an opportunity for consistent assignments and increased rates as the agency and the role grow.

Paid Trial

Final candidates will be invited to complete a paid trial project. The trial will evaluate:

  • Editing quality
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Turnaround time
  • Communication
  • Attention to detail
  • Responsiveness to revisions
  • The paid trial does not guarantee an ongoing contract.

How to Apply

Please include the following in your application:

  • A brief introduction and overview of your editing experience
  • A link to your portfolio (A portfolio is required for consideration. If your application does not include a working portfolio link with relevant examples, we will not be reaching out or moving your application forward. Please make sure we can view your work without requesting access.)
  • Examples of thumbnails, or other graphic-design work
  • Your typical turnaround time for short-form and long-form videos
  • How many short-form and long-form videos you can realistically complete each week
  • Your current availability and expected working hours
